Day 2 : Archaeological City Tour In Cusco
Location: Cusco
Accommodation: Hotel
Accommodation Name: Overnight in Cusco
Meals Included: Breakfast

In the afternoon, we’ll start the Archaeological City Tour with a visit to the different attractions within the city and its surroundings, like Sacsayhuaman, the Qoricancha Temple, Q’enqo, and more.

Right at the heart of the historic center lies the so-called Temple of the Sun, the principal worship center of the Inca culture. Here, we’ll have some time to explore the site as well as the current catholic church built on top of its settlements.

The Cathedral of Cusco is the perfect example of colonial baroque architecture. As most of the Spanish buildings found in the city center, its foundations are the ancient structure of an important Inca palace.

Following the itinerary, the Sacsayhuaman fortress is our next stop. The impressive megalithic structure has withstood centuries of earthquakes and if it wasn’t because of the damages caused during the colonization process, the site could have been even more outstanding than what it already is.

A few meters away from Sacsayhuaman lies another important ceremonial center to the Incas. The Qenqo archeological site was a ritual-based location where, according to historians, rituals and sacrifices took place.

Going further up the mountains, we’ll find an archeological site with a fortress-like appearance. It is believed that Puca Pucara served as a military and administrative center.

Tambomachay is one of the perfect examples of Inca hydraulic engineering. It is composed of irrigation channels and three water fountains that continue to provide water until the current date.

Day 3 : Sacred Valley Of The Incas
Location: Awanakancha, Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo Sanctuary, Machu Picchu station
Accommodation: Hotel
Accommodation Name: Overnight in Aguas Calientes
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

On this day, we’ll depart in the morning to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will make our first stop to visit the Awanacancha Traditional Textile Museum, just after enjoying the magnificent view of the Sacred Valley. Following the itinerary, we’ll continue to visit Pisac, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo.

The Archeological Site of Pisac is located at 3,300 meters above sea level, offering incredible views of its surroundings and the Sacred Valley.

It is one of the largests local markets in the whole region. The Pisac Artisan Market comprehends a cultural expression full of diversity, where the most talented artisans sell their handmade pieces, as well as food, vegetables, fruits, and more.

After a whole morning full of history and adventure, now it’s time to take a break and enjoy the famous peruvian gastronomy in a buffet restaurant. At Tunupa Restaurant, you will be surrounded by the soothing sound of the Urubamba River.

The small town of Ollantaytambo is one of the perfect examples of Inca urbanism. Its cobbled streets will leave you breathless as well as the Inca open draining system. You will also visit the archeological site, recognized as the only place that defeated the Spanish army during colonization for almost 50 years.

After exploring the village of Ollantaytambo, We’ll board the train to Aguas Calientes, a town located in the middle of the mountains of the Peruvian jungle, here you’ll find hotels, restaurants, bars, and handicraft shops.
