Tour Overview
A scenic journey unlike anything you've ever seen. Walk through the dunes, lagoons and oases of the Lencóis Maranhenses National Park and get to know their communities in a fascinating experience that will reveal the natural and cultural splendor of Brazil up close. The Lencóis Maranhenses is a protected area in northeastern Brazil in the state of Maranhão, 370 km from its capital, São Luís. It is the largest area of sand dunes in Brazil and features a highly unique landscape that combines massive dunes and freshwater lagoons of crystal clear water. Our journey begins in São Luís, passing through Barreirinhas, the village of Atins, and the oases of Baixa Grande and Queimada dos Britos, arriving in the community of Betânia and Santo Amaro, before returning to São Luís.
