Covid Escape Safari to Uganda - Gorillas & Game

You will be met by wanderlust safari guide at the airport for meet and greet before embarking on your journey to Jinja the adventure capital of Africa.

We shall have a stopover at Ssezibwa falls which is reach in both cultural and wildlife significance.
At the falls, you will encounter a variety of wildlife like birds, primates and butterflies as you listen to the cultural history of the river since it is believed that it was born by a human and hence its name Ssezibwa.

From there, you will proceed to Jinja through stunning views of tea and sugarcane plantations and a range of photographic views with lunch enroute depending on time

After breakfast, we shall head to the source of river Nile and it will be accessed by boat. You will have an opportunity of seeing the place where John Speke stood and spotted the source of the Nile plus a variety of flora and fauna.

We shall then have lunch before proceeding for whitewater rafting, one of the breathtaking activities at the Nile with five rapids that are rafted in levels from 1-5.

Expect to take good photographs and making new friends. After, we shall retreat to our hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight. If there is time, there are other activities like bungee jumping, Kayaking, horseback riding among others that can be organized upon request.

We shall have breakfast and checkout of the hotel to proceed for zip lining in the afternoon. The activity will make you experience Mabira forest canopy like monkeys soaring between the tallest trees, 250m across R. Musamya usingstrict International safety standards with imported climbing gears and art high ropes from America.

After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Lake Mburo National Park through the equator, 281km about 5 hours’ drive.

You will have a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for lunch and the water experience.

Those interested can buy for themselves souvenirs as this is one of their best spots in Uganda.

We shall check in to Mihingo lodge, those interested can do horseback riding in the park before dinner and overnight.

We shall embark on an early morning game drive after our breakfast. Among the animals we expect to see are Lions, zebras, impalas from which Kampala was named, buffaloes, kobs, Elands, leopards, bush pigs, and you might get the chance to encounter the famous Ankole long horned cattle grazing together with the zebras before we return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will have a boat cruise along L. Mburo where you expect a clear view and panoramic photographs of wildlife and birds. We shall then return to our lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we shall start on the journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest in southwestern Uganda which is the home to Mountain gorillas and the Batwa people.

Along the way you will be amazed by the stunning views of intertwining hills and lakes which are good for photography. You will check in at Bwindi Haven lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, those interested can be arranged for a community walk before we have our dinner and overnight

On this day you will have a great time meeting with the Mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest! After a tasty breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the lodge, head for briefing and later enjoy the fullness of the mist forest as you see the gentle giants and other wildlife species like buffaloes, monkeys, butterflies and different bird species.

Only 1 hour is permitted to you with the gorillas. Tracking takes about 1hour to 8 hours basing on location of these gentle giants. After the trek, in the evening you could go for a guided nature walk to appreciate the nature more.

After breakfast, you will embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National park through the Ishasha sector with a possibility of seeing tree climbing lions on the way.

Among other animals that you may encounter are baboons, waterbucks, buffaloes, Uganda cobs among others. We shall check in at Buffalo safari lodge for refreshment, lunch and relaxation. We then head for an evening game drive at Kasenyi plains before returning for rest at the lodge

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast before embarking on an early morning game drive with in the park to sight numerous early risers including the kobs, antelopes, lions, elephants, leopard, buffalos, birds and many more.

Transfer to Kazinga channel jetty for an afternoon boat cruise where you will view crocodiles, hippos, birds, and many more. Later enjoy an evening game drive with in the park as you proceed to the lodge

Wake up early and have breakfast, checkout from your lodge and transfer to Kibale Forest via Fortportal driving through great scenic views along the way. Kibale forest is one of Africa’s beautiful rain forests and home to 13 primates and most common ones are Chimpanzees, it is also a great place for birders since it harbors over 325 bird species. You later have nature walk in the evening, dinner and an Overnight stay at Kibale forest camp

After breakfast, we set off for an early morning briefing before setting off for chimpanzee tracking, one of the closest apes to humans sharing 98% of the Human DNA.

On seeing chimpanzees, other primates can be spotted such as the Red Tailed Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Black & White colobus Monkeys among others and also elephants, antelopes, buffaloes can be spotted in the forest.

Go back to the lodge for lunch. In the evening go for a walk through the Bigodi wetland where you will see birds, baboons, bush babies among other wildlife species. Have dinner and Overnight.

We shall set off from the lodge early in the morning and head to Murchison falls National park, Uganda’s largest National park deriving its name from the powerful falls that are found in this park. You expect to encounter different animals like buffaloes, elephants, oribis among others.

On this day, enjoy breakfast at the lodge and set out for a 2 hours’ game drive in Uganda’s largest park with a variety of wildlife such as leopards, hippos, lions, warthogs, buffaloes, elephants, antelopes, giraffes, waterbucks as well as different bird species.

After the drive, drive to the lodge and have lunch, then have a 3 hours’ boat cruise on the Nile where you will see a number of animals along the banks such as elephants, hippos, crocodile, antelopes, and also monkeys and birds will be spotted along, sail to the bottom of the falls where you will hike to the top of the falls for about 1hour and 30 minutes before returning to your lodge for dinner and Overnight stay.

After breakfast, we embark on the journey to Kampala passing through Ziwa rhino sanctuary for an experience with the rhinos. We then proceed to Kampala, passing through the Luwero triangle. You will be dropped at the airport to take your flight back home.
