Discover the capital city of Romania and the most representative cities of the region of Transylvania! You will spend the first day of your tour in the Little Paris of the East, where you can enjoy the town's true gems such as the Arch of Triumph, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Palace of the Parliament and the Patriarchal Church and take a stroll in the Old Town. In the second day of your tour, you will leave behind the hustle and bustle of the big city, to admire the spectacular views offered by a trip via Transfagarasan, the road crossing the Carpathians Mountains, which became famous, after it was voted as the most beautiful road in the world by Top Gear TV show. Your next stop will be in Sibiu, the town which was listed by Forbes in its top 10 of the most idyllic places to live in the whole world. On the next day of the tour, you go back in time and visit the medieval fortress of Sighisoara, the citadel which is on UNESCO World Heritage list. After discovering Vlad the Impaler's birthplace which is considered to be Sighisoara, you will go to Bran, to admire the castle that became worldwide known due to the writer Bram Stoker, who created his famous character - Count Dracula, inspired by Vlad the Impaler's bloody reign. Your next day is dedicated to the visit of the town of Brasov, also known as the Crown of Transylvania. The walking tour will start in the Council Square and you will also visit The Black Church, Romania’s leading gothic church, and the largest one between Vienna and Istanbul. In the last day of your tour, you will go back to Bucharest, to Otopeni Airport. *Please note that The Peles Castle is always closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. In the period of the Romanian winter holidays (24.12.2021-02.01.2022) several attractions may have a modified schedule, or they may be closed. Welcome to Bucharest! Explore the Little Paris of the East together with your local guide and discover the town’s true gems such as the Arch of Triumph, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Palace of the Parliament and the Patriarchal Church. Take a stroll in the Old Town and see its highlights: the Stravapoleos Church, the National Bank, the History Museum, the Lipscani street and the Old Princely Court, known as Dracula’s residence, where it is said that Vlad Dracula kept his prisoners. Before the evening falls, refresh your spirit by getting to know the people who will accompany you in this adventure, at a welcome dinner in a traditional restaurant. Overnight in Bucharest.
Day 2 : Bucharest – Transfagarasan – Sibiu - appox. (350 km)

After breakfast, take an inside tour of the Palace of the Parliament, also known as “The People’s House”, which according to Guinness World Records it is the largest and most expensive administrative building in the world. Afterwards, continue to Transylvania, the “land behind the forests”. The scenic drive will take you to the famous Transfagarasan road (open 16 June – 31 October), a road which was named „the best road in the world” by the TV show Top Gear. Enjoy spectacular views along the way until you reach the city of Sibiu, the 2007 European Cultural capital. In the evening you are invited to a typical Transylvanian restaurant in the Old Town for dinner. Check-in and overnight in Sibiu.
Day 3 : Sibiu – Biertan – Sighisoara - approx. (110 km)

Enjoy a walking tour in Sibiu, the largest and wealthiest walled citadel built in Transylvania in the 12th century by the German settlers. The town has a pedestrian-friendly area, with two accessible levels: The Upper Town and The Lower Town, connected through The Stairs Passage. Preserving until today its wonderful medieval atmosphere, Sibiu was listed by Forbes in its top 10 of the most idyllic places to live in the whole world. Visit the Grand Square, the Small Square and the Liar’s Bridge. After some time at leisure, continue to the village Biertan, where you will discover one of the best preserved medieval fortifications in Transylvania. Built in 1500 on the foundations of a previous Romanesque building, the fortification features three mighty ring walls, two outer baileys and several defense towers. Drive further to Sighisoara and check-in. You are invited to dinner in the birth house of Count Dracula, a restaurant which is also a historic monument and a museum. Overnight in Sighisoara.
Day 4 : Sighisoara – Bran – Brasov - approx. (150 km)

Today is dedicated to discovering Sighisoara, the medieval citadel, where Vlad the Impaler (count Dracula) took his first steps. The town was settled by the Saxons in the 13th century. This delightful town still preserves the medieval atmosphere, its 14th century wall, towers and bastions. Enjoy a pleasant walking tour inside the citadel , which is on UNESCO World Heritage list, and visit the Clock Tower and the Church on the Hill. After the visit depart towards Bran, where you will discover the Dracula Castle. Hidden in the hilly forest of Bran and surrounded by an aura of mystery and legend, the castle was built by the German Saxons in the 14th century and served as customs for many centuries between Transylvania and Wallachia. In 1920 the castle became Royal Residence, offered as a gift by the people of Brasov to Queen Marie of Romania. Now world widely known for being the place where Bram Stoker's fictional creation, Count Dracula is set, the castle is the most visited place in Transylvania. Transfer to Brasov, also know as the Crown of Transylvania. The walking tour in Brasov starts at the Council Square, built by the Saxons and called Markplatz. One of the main highlights of the city is the Black Church, Romania’s leading gothic church, and the largest one between Vienna and Istanbul, that got its name after the Great Fire in 1689. On your tour you will see also the narrowest street in Europe: the Rope Street. Dinner and overnight in Brasov.
Day 5 : Brasov - Sinaia - Bucharest - approx. (160 km)

In the last day of your tour, you will head to the superb alpine resort of Sinaia, where you will visit the Peles Castle, considered by many ones of the most stunning castles in Europe. The Peles Castle is a masterpiece of German New-Renaissance architecture and was commissioned by King Carol I in 1873. The castle served as the summer residence of the royal family until 1947. You will also visit the Sinaia Monastery, built by Prince Cantacuzino, in 1695 and named after the great Saint Catherine's Monastery on Mount Sinai in Egypt. Then you will head to Bucharest, to Otopeni International Airport, for your departure. Have a safe flight!
