This tour will offer the opportunity to discover the most representative medieval towns of Transylvania. This short break will start in the capital city of Romania, Bucharest, also known as the Little Paris of the East. You will explore together with your experienced guide the castles and fortresses, the historical towns and the Transylvanian gastronomy. *Please note that The Peles Castle is always closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. In the period of the Romanian winter holidays (24.12.2021-02.01.2022) several attractions may have a modified schedule, or they may be closed. Day 1 : Bucharest-Poiana Brasov-Brasov

Welcome to Bucharest! Explore the Little Paris of the East together with your local guide and discover the town’s true gems such as the Arch of Triumph, the Romanian Athenaeum, the Palace of the Parliament and the Patriarchal Church. Take a stroll in the Old Town and see its highlights: the Stravapoleos Church, the National Bank, the History Museum, the Lipscani street and the Old Princely Court, known as Dracula’s residence, where it is said that Vlad Dracula kept his prisoners. After visiting the capital city, you will head to Brasov, also know as the Crown of Transylvania. Once arrived in Brasov, the guide will reveal your the secrets of the town, in a walking tour that starts at the Council Square, built by the Saxons and called Markplatz. One of the main highlights of the city is The Black Church, Romania’s leading gothic church, and the largest one between Vienna and Istanbul. The church got its name after the Great Fire in 1689. On your tour you will see also the narrowest street in Europe: the Rope Street. Enjoy your traditional dinner in a restaurant located in an exclusivist mountain resort, Poiana Brasov which is close to the town of Brasov. Overnight in Brasov.
Day 2 : Brasov-Sighisoara-Sibiu-Brasov

You will head to Sighisoara, to discover the medieval citadel, where Vlad the Impaler (count Dracula) took his first steps. The town was settled by the Saxons in the 13th century. This delightful town still preserves the medieval atmosphere, its 14th century wall, towers and bastions. Enjoy a pleasant walking tour inside the citadel , which is on UNESCO World Heritage list. After some time at leisure, continue to Sibiu, the largest and wealthiest walled citadel built in Transylvania in the 12th century by the German settlers. Enjoy a walking tour in Sibiu, the town which was listed by Forbes in its top 10 of the most idyllic places to live in the whole world. Sibiu has a pedestrian-friendly area, with two accessible levels: The Upper Town and The Lower Town, connected through The Stairs Passage. Visit the Grand Square, the Small Square and the Liar’s Bridge. Overnight in Brasov.
Day 3 : Brasov-Sinaia-Bucharest
Location: Brașov, Peleș Castle, Henri Coandă International Airport

Today is dedicated to visiting Sinaia, the superb alpine resort, which is home to the famous Peles Castle, which is considered by many one of the most stunning castles in Europe. The Peles Castle is a masterpiece of German new-Renaissance architecture and was commissioned by King Carol I in 1873. The castle served as the summer residence of the royal family until 1947. You can also visit the Sinaia Monastery, built by Prince Cantacuzino in 1695 and named after the great Saint Catherine's Monastery on Mount Sinai in Egypt. After visiting Sinaia, travel towards Bucharest to Otopeni International Airport for your departure. Have a safe flight!
