Hiking Rountrip in Slovenia

After arriving to Slovenia, pick up your rental car (optional) and drive towards Kranjska Gora, the famous ski resort in the north of the country. Apart from winter activities there are also plenty of things to do there in the summer, from various hiking paths to stunning waterfalls and lakes to some more adventurous activities.

Pick up your lunch package in the morning and head towards Zelenci, the nature reserve and the water spring of Sava Dolinka river. Various water streams emerge from the layers of marl and build the exceptional landscape.
Later on continue to Planica, home of the ski jumps and the Nordic centre. Located in between the hills it offers the most stunning panorama, in winter and in summer.
Return to hotel for overnight.

Today we head to the village of Gozd Martuljek and to the upper Martuljek waterfall. The highest waterfall is particularly spectacular, as it falls 110 meters straight down for a vertical white rock wall. On the way up we also pass the lower Martuljek fall which falls into a narrow gorge that the water has shaped in the stone. Return to hotel for overnight.

Check out from the hotel in the morning and drive towards Vršič mountain pass. Road to the top has been built during the 2nd World war, along the way there is still a memorial to those who lost their lives while constructing the road.
Optionally you can take the hike to Slemenova Špica, that starts from the top of the pass. Slemenova Špica is a wonderful grassy viewpoint located near Vršič. Throughout the hike we are surrounded by high mountain walls and incredible views.
Continue to Soča Valley in the afternoon for check in and overnight.

Today it is time for a different kind of adventure. Emerald river Soča is a perfect destination for various water sports, such as rafting experience. Meet you’re your guide at the arranged meeting point and prepare for a day full of fun, adrenaline and unique experiences.
Return to hotel for overnight in the afternoon.

Kozjak is one of Slovenia’s most beautiful waterfalls. The magnificent 15-meter waterfall plungers down from Krn range though the rocks and therefore offers a stunning view.
Before returning to the hotel, take the chance for a walk along the Soča river and admire the many different colours of green and blue that the valley has to offer.

Leave the Soča valley behing and head towards Bohinj, the largest Alpine lake in Slovenia. Bohinj truly is a paradise, embraced by the Julian Alps reflecting on the water surface.
Check in to your hotel for overnight.

Drive to the lower station of gondola to Mt Vogel, from where you will e taken to the top in aprox. 10 minutes. From there take your preferred hike either to Orlova Glava or Šija, both of which offer equally amazing views and unique flora and fauna along the way.
In the afternoon take the gondola back to the valley and return to the hotel.

From Bohinj we will walk the road up to a mountain cottage located in the picturesque Alpine valley Voje. Here you have a fantastic view of the forested slopes. The hike goes up through the breath taking Mostnica gorge, which is a roughly 2-kilometre-long gorge that the clear Mostnica forests have carved out of the rock. In some places the gap is very narrow, and the rock walls are up to 20 meters high.
Before returning to the hotel in afternoon, stop at one of the local farms to taste some of the home-made products, such as cheese and home-made bread.

Take the short drive from Bohinj to Bled, another Alpine pearl in the heart of Julian Alps. Bled, also called an image of paradise, is a small town with a lake and an island with a church in the middle. According to the legend the bell, if rang three times, can fulfil your wishes.

Beekeeping still is an important tradition in Slovenia and especially of Alpine region. Not only honey, there are various other products made, such as candles, pastries and many more. Meet with your guide in the morning and cycle along the Sava river while learning about the culture and traditions of the area.

For your final day walk up to Ojstrica hill above the lake. This is one of the most stunning and most photographed viewpoints as it truly offers exceptional views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon take a stroll around the lake for a final goodbye to this paradise.

It is time to say goodbye to Slovenia and its amazing nature. Drive to the Ljubljana Airport for your return flight home.
