Tour Overview

Program: Day 1: São Luís/ Barreirinhas/Lencóis Maranhenses As of 6:40 a.m., depending on the location of the accommodation, boarding in an air-conditioned vehicle to the city of Barreirinhas (gateway to the Lencóis National Park Maranhenses). The route has an approximate length of 260 km, with a average duration of 03h30 and a brief stop in the city of Morros for baths and coffee (not included). Check-in and accommodation. At 1:40 p.m. departure by vehicle 4x4 for the Grandes Lencóis Circuit. Ferry crossing over the river Preguicas and continue along the path to the stopping point (about 40 minutes of travel). Disembark and begin a light walk across the sand white to the lagoons of crystalline waters, which are formed during the rainy season, with stops for swimming and contemplation of the beautiful landscape and appreciation of the sunset. Return to the vehicle by the same route until the hotel. Free night. Day 2: Small Lencóis After breakfast, departure from the hotel to Av. Ribera and boarding by boat to the Preguicas River Circuit (APA – Environmental Protection Area). On the way you can appreciate the landscape of typical mangrove vegetation and the fauna of the region surrounding the river. The first stop is in the community of Vassouras, where the small leaves and a small community of river dwellers and capuchin monkeys that live there and interact with the visitor. Continuation to Mandacaru, a small village that guards the Preguicas Lighthouse with 160 steps to enjoy a 360º view of the region with dunes, river, mouth, typical vegetation and the city. Finally, Caburé, a beach that is divided between the river and the sea. Stop for lunch (not included). From 3:00 p.m., departure by boat passing through the streams of the river to Barreirinhas and overnight. Day 3: Barreirinhas/Parnaíba At 8:30 a.m. m., boarding in an air-conditioned vehicle for the city of Parnaiba. During the tour, steps are contemplated by the small leaves, I pass through Paulino Neves, Tutóia and Lagoinha. The average duration is from 03h30 hours. Stay overnight. Day 4: Beaches of the East Coast and Delta of the Americas with herd of Guarás In the morning, After breakfast, departure in an air-conditioned vehicle for a tour of the main beaches of the East Coast of Piauí (Luis Correia, Atalaia, Coqueiro and Macapá – visits to the beaches depend on the tide). Back to the hotel. TO 2:30 p.m. departure for Porto dos Tatus and boarding a speedboat to tour the channels and streams of the Delta das Américas, visit Baía do Caju, Dunes of Morro do Meio and, at the end of the day, the bedroom of the Guarás, bird of red plumage that predominates in the region. Back to the hotel. Staying overnight. Day 5: Parnaíba/ Jericoacoara In the morning, at a time to be arranged, departure in a 4x4 vehicle air-conditioned (Hilux or similar) to Jericoacoara via Camocim, crossing by ferry the Coreaú River, passing through Ilha do Amor, Tatajuba, Lagoa da Torta, Guriú and Mangue Dry, crossing dunes, rivers and lakes as well as local towns (Duration: approx. 03:30). Free night. Staying overnight. Day 6: Jericoacoara At 9:00 am, departure for a buggy ride along the east coast, where we will visit: Árvore da Preguica, Praia do Preá, Buraco Azul (entry not included), Lagoa Azul and Lagoa do Paraíso, where we will stay the rest of the day. Around 4:30 pm, scheduled arrival at Jericoacoara beach. Staying overnight. Day 7: Jericoacoara/Fortaleza After breakfast, at a time to be agreed, departure in air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle (Hilux or similar) to the city of Fortaleza by road with an approximate duration of 5 hours.

Day 1 : Arrival In Barreirinhas

Location: Barreirinhas

Day 1: São Luís / Barreirinhas / Lençóis Maranhenses
Starting at 06:40, depending on the location of your accommodation, board an air-conditioned vehicle heading to the city of Barreirinhas (Gateway to the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park). The journey is approximately 260 km long with an average duration of 03:30 hours and a quick stop in the city of Morros for restrooms and coffee (not included). Check-in and accommodation. At 13:40, departure in a 4x4 open-air vehicle for the Grand Lençóis Circuit. Crossing by ferry over the Preguiças River and continuing through a trail to the stopping point (about 40 minutes of trail). Disembark and begin a light walk on the white sand to the crystal-clear lagoons, formed during the rainy season, with stops for swimming and admiring the beautiful landscape and sunset. Return to the vehicle by the same route to the hotel. Free evening.

Day 2 : Tour To Pequenos Lençóis

Location: Pequenos Lençóis maranhenses

Day 2: Small Lençóis
After breakfast, depart from the hotel to the pier on Av. Beira Rio and board a speedboat for the Preguiças River Circuit (APA - Environmental Protection Area). During the journey, enjoy the landscape of typical mangrove vegetation and the region's fauna along the river. The first stop is at the Vassouras community, where the small Lençóis and a small community of riverside dwellers and capuchin monkeys inhabit and interact with visitors. Continue to Mandacaru, a small village that houses the Preguiças Lighthouse with 160 steps to enjoy a 360o view of the region with dunes, river, estuary, typical vegetation, and the city. Finally, Caburé, a beach that divides between the river and the sea. Stop for lunch (not included). From 15:00, departure by speedboat passing through river streams until Barreirinhas for overnight stay.

Day 3 : Arrival In Parnaíba

Day 5 : Arrival In Jericoacoara

In the morning, at a pre-arranged time, depart in a 4x4 air-conditioned vehicle (Hilux or similar) to Jericoacoara via Camocim with a ferry crossing over the Coreaú River, passing through Ilha do Amor, Tatajuba, Lagoa da Torta, Guriú, and Mangue Seco with crossings between dunes, rivers, and lagoons in addition to local villages (Duration: approximately 03:30 hours). Free evening. Overnight stay.

Day 6 : Jericoacoara

Location: Jericoacoara

At 09:00, depart for a buggy tour along the east coast, where we will visit: Árvore da Preguiça, Preá Beach, Blue Hole (entrance fee not included), Blue Lagoon, and Paradise Lagoon, where we'll spend the rest of the day. Around 16:30, expected arrival at Jericoacoara beach. Overnight stay.

I went on Tangol's full day walking tour of Buenos Aires and Sylvia was a very knowledgeable guide who clearly has a passion for sharing the cultural, social and political stories of Buenos Aires and how each of the neighborhoods visited help tell that story. We are Argentine soccer fans...

We are Argentine soccer fans and asked Tangol if they have a tour package in Rosario that includes visits to places related to Lionel Messi, like his birth house and the soccer field (potrero) he played on in childhood. Though Tangol does not have such a package, they tailored a 1-day tour based on our requests for my family (4 persons) with air tickets between Buenos Aires and Rosario, a private minivan + a tour guide in Rosario. The Tangol contact person sent detailed information, including emergency contact, a couple of days before the tour day. Using WhatsApp, she responded promptly and precisely. In Rosario, the tour guide spoke perfect American English. He was friendly to all of us, and we felt comfortable talking to him and asking him many questions. He was knowledgeable about all the places we visited and answered our questions very nicely. That was the best tour of my life!

A tad expensive for football, but a good service and availability for anything you have to do in Buenos Aires! Would recommend. We went on a great tour to watch racing club against belgrano and apart for the amazing atmosphere, our guide Martin was tremendous! We would recommend using tangol to others.

Tangol arranged a special one...

Tangol arranged a special one day tour for our family to visit Rosario, the home town of the famous Argentina soccer players like Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria. We could visit many places (e.g., Messi's birth house, school, and the soccer field, Museo del Deporte Santafesino, Estadios Rosario Central y Newell's Old Boys, etc.) and take many pitcures. Tangol arranged a tour guide and a mini-van driver for us. They were waiting for us at the airport. They were very friendly and also knowledgeable, so we enjoyed talking with them. This special tour was the one of best tours for us.

We used Tangol in Buenos Aires 5 years ago -- for a bike tour of BA, and for a tour of the Delta. We used Tangol again recently (March 2024) for a wine tasting/lunch tour at Pizzorno wines in Canelones, Uruguay. Both times service by Tangol was excellent: great tours, very good communication with Tangol, and good support in one case of what we thought was an emergency, but wasn't. Highly recommend this company

Do not use this company....

Do not use this company. On December 19, 2023, my parents went on the Iguazu Falls tour from Foz do Iguacu, Brazil, using this company. The driver they sent scammed my elderly parents, along with many others in the bus, out of an additional $10 USD per person by making them wait in the vehicle while he went to buy the park tickets. He stripped them of the opportunity to go buy the tickets themselves. This scam involved forcing my parents, along with others in the bus, to pay cash at an exchange rate of 175 Portugese Reais, which works out to approximately $35 USD for each park ticket when it should have been around $25 USD. I asked this company four times for the name and phone number of the driver but they refuse to provide the information. Furthermore, the driver then made each person pay an additional 5 Reais on the way back, claiming it was to pay for some additional fee. Lastly, this booking was done for an 8 am tour departure. The company then sent us an email stating 7:40 am pick-up, which was fine. However, the driver showed up at the hotel at 7:10 am while my mother was still eating breakfast telling her to get moving or he would leave them behind. This is the most disgusting company I have ever dealt with and even to this moment they refuse to provide the driver's information to us because are protecting his scam from the police. I petitioned Viator for a refund for at least one of the tickets but this Tangol company lied to them stating that my parents chose to do the conversion at a much higher market exchange rate with the driver. I hope others that were in the same bus come forward.

They cancelled a tour the day before-- Pope Francis in Buenos Aires. If you offer a tour I think it is important to go and do the tour as opposed to canceling the day prior. Super frustrating. Would not book with them again.
