"Late September/October is ideal. The days are cooler, the skies are blue and the Autumn colours are beginning to appear. It's out of season tourist-wise, so you will have the sights to yourself."

"Make sure you see Registan Square and Amir Temur mausoleum during the night, they are both lit up and shine like gems against the night sky! This was my highlight of Samarkand. "

"Don't just stay in the South! Most tourist resorts are located there, but the northern part of Tenerife is so much more authentic and offers so many stunning places worth visiting."
What do you love most about Tenerife?
"There are plenty of hidden gems that most visitors don't know about, so you can have them all to yourself sometimes. I loved Charco de La Laja or Playa Castro in the North."
What is a must try in the Canary Islands?
"Barraquito coffee for sure if you have a sweet tooth. It's a coffee with frothed milk, sweetened milk and some lemon/orange zest - delicious! For a great local food experience, look out for guachinches."
What's your favourite hike on the island?
"The route from Montana Blanca to Teide volcano. It's quite challenging due to the high altitude and elevation gain and you will need a permit to hike the very peak, but the views are so worth the struggle."

"Mauritius is a paradise for adventure lovers. I love that you combine ultimate relaxation with tonnes of water activities, hiking and exploration across the island."
Favourite time of year to visit Mauritius
"Mauritius can experience tropical cyclones and very heavy (albeit warm) rains between December and March. I visited in April and it was sunny and hot with a very short downpour once a day."
Is Mauritius expensive?
"You can make Mauritius affordable by finding small hotels to stay at. All the beaches are free for everyone to use and there are lots of lovely local restaurants to enjoy!"

"Visit the GRSE waterfall to see the monkeys and how green Mauritius is! Inland take a trip to the vibrant capital Port Louis to explore Mauritian culture!"
