"It's home to the highest palm trees in the world, the Quindio Wax Palms! They're approximately 80 metres high."

A 'MUST' whilst you're there?

"Enjoy all the Instagrammable spots with an amazing natural background."

@haihui.cu.swit.rocs's Top Tips

"Cocora Valley is easily reachable from Salento, Colombia. You can just do a short hike to reach the most famous spots, or indulge in a 13-km loop-hike. I totally recommend the latter."

When should you visit Cocora Valley?

"Being the most famous spot of Colombia, it is very crowded. Make sure you head there with the first means of transportation of the day and reserve the entire day to walk around, you'll love it!"

Must pack items for Valle de Cocora

"If you want to do the whole loop, don't forget your hiking boots, you'll pass through forests, rivers, suspended bridges and different types of soil."
