"Depending on how long you pick (4 or 5 days), you will still get to visit Salkantay summit, Lake Humantay and the stunning views throughout the trek."

Benefits of a tour guide for Salkantay Trek Peru

"Due to the altitude, having a guide is really important. Knowing there is someone with experience to guide you along makes you feel at ease. Bonus - the chef will make fun lunches like this!"

Must pack items for Salkantay Trek Peru

"Layers and lots of them! Depending on what time of the year you go, it can get very cold at night and when hiking. Having layers means you can strip down when hiking so you don't get too hot or cold."

"What fascinated me most about Colca Canyon is its authenticity - the original and intact cultural experience within a breathtaking landscape is something that visitors will never forget. "
