"Rotorua is such a unique place and a visit to the Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland is a MUST! I loved all the different colours and how vibrant they were, it was a true alien landscape!"

"Be prepared to hold your nose as you wander through the steam, the smell of sulphur is strong!"

"Definitely the summer! In New Zealand, January to April would be peak time to visit. The clear skies with the sun shining really brings out the vivid colours in the thermal pools."

"Hiking! There are several hikes, from easy to advanced. Each offers a unique perspective over the surrounding landscapes. If you are up to it, you can even climb Mt Cook - the highest peak in NZ!"

"As soon as you drive into the national park, the views are epic. You are surrounded by Mt Cook and the Southern Alps. The hikes are some of the best in New Zealand, offering unbeatable views. "

"Visit during the week, as it gets busy on weekends. Spend your time driving into the national park - plenty of viewpoints! Camp in the national park to make sure you see everything. "
