About Ecovic Tours and Travel Uganda

My wife and I went on our first ever African safari with Ecovic Tours in Uganda in March 2021. Months later, we still think about the trip daily! From our wonderful and experienced guide Willies, to the awesome accommodations and friendly staff at each lodge, it was the trip of a lifetime. We began our vacation with a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. We traveled from there to Murchison Falls National Park, then to Kibale National Park, then to Queen Elizabeth National Park, to Ishasha, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and finished at Lake Mburo. When we set out on our trip, we didn't expect to see each and every animal as advertised. However, we did! It was better than we imagined. We saw a 6-months-old rhino, a pride of lions, the "rare" leopard. Our guide helped us spot the elusive leopard on four occasions, how lucky! We observed a bachelor group of elephants making mischief, walked behind a chimp, had a hippo nearly visit our cottage porch, and spent the most magical hour with a gorilla family. We photographed the most beautiful, perfect male lion standing out on a tree branch in Ishasha. We spotted a mother and young leopard on the prowl during the night game drive at Lake Mburo, and more. We certainly felt well cared for, and in good hands. Every detail was carefully thought out and planned for us ahead of time, by our wonderful trip coordinator Vincent, so that we never worried about anything. As for Willies, he's truly what made our 12 day journey so fulfilling. I highly recommend booking Ecovic Tours. Our experience was beyond five stars!

Amazing experience! - "Mom! When will we go again

I and my two kids (10 and 6 years old) traveled with Ecovic Tours and Travel Uganda the experience was unique for the 3 of us. The kids still ask about the driver, Martin. The trip was planned only with 2 months in advance and the prompt reply of my emails was the key for everything being possible. Everything was very organized, since day one, picking at airport, till returning to it. Martin, the driver was very experienced and full of patience to handle with high drive kids and their stubborn "things".. He really knew how to adequate the logistic of 5 days full time safari with young kids! About the Safari itself, it was an amazing experience, with Martin's knowledge, it seems we were inside National Geographic episode. We were very lucky and saw everything what was expected. We could think 5 days of Safari is hard especially with kids of this age, but even with the youngster, 5 days passed without noticing. The guide/driver also contributed alot to the success of our safari. Ecovic Tours and Travel Uganda is a wonderful Company and organized a unique safari For is with hot, fresh, daily meals which was very good For us and my kids. My kids noticed and appreciated the difference between their meals and the other groups prepackaged lunches. At the end I may say: 5 STARS for you, Ecovic Tours and Travel Uganda and guide MARTIN!. I conclude by sharing my son's last day comment: "it seems we began only yesterday, and it was already finishing? I want to return on the dry season again!" I recommend this Company to everyone!

Excellent service, great value

My husband and I just returned from a 9-day trip to Uganda and we certainly wish we had more time. The country and the people are beautiful but what made the trip even more enjoyable for us was our tour guide Edie from Ecovic Tours. He is very knowledgeable, accommodating and has a great sunny personality! Since this is our first trip, we relied a lot on Edie's expertise on how to best spend our short stay and what the local customs are. Overall, it was quite an enriching experience which wouldn't have been possible if we didn't have an excellent guide like Edie. We are also very pleased with the sales team, particularly Vincent who has assisted us with the planning of the trip. We wanted to see many places in a limited amount of time, but Vincent was able to create an itinerary for us that suited what we wanted and packed it with some of the most exciting activities possible given our short stay... We are very happy and would definitely recommend Ecovic Tours to our friends and family who plan to visit Uganda.

We had a wonderful experience with Ecovic on the 8 Days Rhinos, Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth and Mountain Gorillas Safari. The carefully planned tour covered many of Uganda’s sights, and highlights included the chimpanzee tracking at Kibale and gorilla tracking at Bwindi. Our tour guide/driver, Issa, was fantastic. He was kind, accommodating and thoughtful, and we really appreciated his insightful comments and information. Ecovic was able to modify our tour to suit our preferences and we appreciated the prompt communication from Vincent. Whilst we were on a budget tour, the accommodation and meals were of a high quality. We would highly recommend Ecovic to others looking for a great safari experience.

Unforgettable Journey with Ecovic Tours!

Our tour with Ecovic Tours and Travel Uganda was Indeed a great one. The guide and driver was perfect, friendly, helpful, polite and helped us to really get in touch with the beauty of Uganda, and it's people. Could not say more positive things about our trip Uganda with Ecovic. Uganda is an amazing country to visit, the natural beauty of the country is only surpassed by the people, who were uniformly welcoming, hospitable and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. We had an amazing safari with Ecovic, in particular with our driver Issa. Issa picked us up promptly from the airport and always ensured that we would get safely to our next destination, even if the journey was 8 hours long. We felt very safe in his company and he went out of the way to meet our needs, including stopping for refreshments and breaks as needed. In addition, he was very well informed and always took the time to educate us about the animals and culture. He has been doing his job for over 20 years and it is clear that he has a deep love for his country and animals. I am vegetarian and my partner is gluten free but we never had any issues with any meals. Meals were delicious and filling. All of the tented lodges were clean, comfortable and the owners were hospitable. We even had a hippo outside our tent in Bush Lodge! Despite a last second request, Vincent from Ecovic was able to accommodate our itinerary and got us gorilla and chimp permits within a few days, only a week before our trip. Overall would highly recommend a trip to Uganda and would highly recommend our driver Issa and Ecovic.

Ecovic and our guide Hussein did a really great job in organzinh every little detail of our trip. We fellt always well cared for and safe. Amazing honeymoon

Thank you Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda, Vincent and Benjamin for such an amazing trip! Vincent helped us plan the perfect itinerary and helped us pick our accommodations in the most efficient, friendly and professional way possible. We exchanged a lot of e-mails, and he was always very responsive answering to all our questions. Definitely, one of our highlights of our trip was our guide Benjamin, who made our trip more than perfect. He has so much experience, knows SO much not only about the animals but also about the country & culture. Easy going, extremely professional, always in a good mood and very punctual. The most wonderful waterfall in the world indeed!

It was great seeing a rainbow in the most powerful waterfall in the world. The game drives, boat cruise, guides and communication was extremely perfect. Viewing lions at the Albert region made my tour a complete one. I recommend this tour and company to all travellers hoping to visit Uganda!

Adventure of a life time!

Gorrillas are real and are like human beings indeed........... The Batwa traditional dance and ancient ways of lighting fire made us speechless and extremely glad. The Safari you dream of

My Safari with Ecovic Tours was the Safari I've always dreamed of going on. It far exceeded expectations in every sense. There is not a single thing I can complain about. It was perfect. Ecovic Tours took care of everything for us. We went during the off-season, and it felt like we had Murchison Falls, Kibale and Queen Elizabeth National Parks to ourselves with the animals. We thought we were going to get stuck in the rain, but it only rained briefly on one day, and it was honestly a surreal way to experience it. Do not be scared of a little rain on your Safari! We were happy to trade a little rain for not spending tons of time behind other Safari vehicles. The accomodations that Ecovic Tours booked were incredible: beautiful views and amenities and since it was the off-season, we had the lodges to ourselves as well. It felt like a completely private trip. I highly recommend going during early December, it was a truly magical experience. Our Ecovic Tours guide was very knowledgeable and fun to be around. He went above and beyond in every way. He knew so much about both the Murchison Falls, Kibale and Queen Elizabeth National Parks and was able to help us find the elusive leopard up close, which was the highlight of the trip for me. He was fun to be around and went above and beyond in every way to make us feel comfortable and to find the hard-to-spot animals. Excellent, Fun, Precise , Helpful, Fulfilled my Expectative and more

Time has been difficult for everyone during this Covid Pandemic, but it was good to know that in the middle of chaos and confusions I had Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda, to hold my hand all the way with my travel plans, and they were willing to make adjustments based on the circusmtances that rise during these time. I spend a total of 7 days with the team traveling to what it has been a fantastic experience visiting National Parks in Uganda. Not only the fact they took care of my needs but as a solo traveler it was great to have Guide Dennis as my companion, and we had such a great time Touring, and he became my shopping and photographer partner. For sure Dennis went out of the way to make my stay in Uganda to be a dream come true. I highly recomend Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda for any travel accomodations desired and more. If you see the fantastics Places where I stayed you will be surprised.

Out of this World

This was my trip of a lifetime. It was more than I expected thanks to the managing director Vincent and a lovely tour guide of Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda. The help given to me pre trip with booking my internal flights for me, accommodation and shopping for my dinner wine, was exceptional, and as a solo traveller, I was made very welcome and quickly fitted in with the rest of our group. I highly recommend Ecovic Tours to all travellers. I will certainly book to join them again in the future. Many thanks to all who helped make my first Safari so unforgettable, and one I will always remember with great fondness.

Wonderful Experience with Spirit

My family had a wonderful experience with Ecovic Tours and Travel Uganda. They absolutely exceeded our expectations and I would recommend them without hesitation. They are honest, reliable, deeply knowledgeable and friendly. I lived in Kampala years ago and thus went back and forth in deciding on a final itinerary. Vincent suggested different itinerary options; he was patient, super helpful, responding to all my questions within hours, adjusting our trip, providing lots of hotels and other options, and (once we finally decided) arranging hotels and internal flights between Entebbe and kisoro. Vincent brought to me attention that we had overpaid by $300, and we were reimbursed upon our arrival. Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda driver met us at Entebbe international Airport in the late evening, which was great after 24 hours of traveling from Canada. For 7 days, William drove us to kibale, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi impenetrable National Park. In addition to his impressive Knowledge of the countryside, wildlife and the national parks, William was friendly, funny and warm. Similarly, George was our guide at Queen Elizabeth National Park, finding lions, buffaloes, and (of course) elephants, as well as explaining the area's remarkable bird life. Of course, we all await the pandemic to end. When it does, my family is already talking about another trip to Uganda, and our choice - without hesitation - would be Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda!.

Hassle free & very professional service from start to finish

Vincent was an absolute delight to deal with. From the first phone call he was extremely polite, professional and very eager to facilitate my requests regarding our safari. Our 11 nights in Uganda was very nice and fabulous and Murchison Falls was very nice also. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, we were met by our guide from Ecovic Tours for our transfer to the Lodge where we were welcomed by very warm and friendly people who were more than eager to impart their local knowledge on us. The game drives, boat safaris, chimpanzee tracking and mountain gorillas tracking, golden monkeys viewing were some of the best we encountered during this safari. Very special Holiday in Uganda organized by Ecovic Tours and Travel

We very much enjoyed our special holiday in Uganda Organized by Ecovic Tours and Travel. There were very excellent programs of prepared by this tour operator like safaris by car, boat and on foot. In between we enjoyed the car trips throughout a beautiful country with a variety of landscapes and beautiful sceneries. Uganda people are very hospital and friendly. The organization by Ecovic Tours was very excellent and the guide told us a lot about the country, Sceneries, customs and history. The accommodation and meals were of good quality. We highly recommend Ecovic Tours to everyone!

I had a prefect experience with this safari company. It was above my expectations. We spent 2 days at Murchison national Park and 1 afternoon at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. The guide named Hussein was so kind ans give us very clear explanations. The program and timetable were perfect thank you for the planning skills of Vincent. Amazing 8 days in Uganda!!! We decided for Ecovic Tour , because of easy and quick communication with Vincent. He provided us with all information and answered fast all our questions. Our guide Hussein made and excellent job und was very friendly. He asked about our expectations and wisches and planed every day accordingly. Every day was different und full of great experiences and adventures, yet not too tiring. Whether it was in the jungle, savannah , village ot city ,we felt safe at all times. The meals took place in restaurants or lodges und there were always more possibilities to choose from. Local and international. The food was very tasty and we had no health problems. Brilliant Holiday from start to finish

Our dream trip to Africa was perfectly orchestrated by the knowledgeable and dedicated staff at Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda. Every suggestion was spot on! The accommodations were fantastic and exceeded expectation. We didn't encounter any problems throughout our entire stay. We wholeheartedly recommend Ecovic Tours and Travel Uganda and look forward to booking with them again.

Ecovic Tours went above and beyond to provide the most amazing 14 day safari for my fiancé and me! Truly, every day brought something new and spectacular. We talked to other travelers who would bemoan not seeing the leopards, we saw two! We heard people say that the tree climbing lions had left the Ishasha sector, but we saw them and cubs! Frank was our friend and guide for the 14 days and he always found what we were looking for, I am so grateful we were with him! Victor was very helpful in setting everything up and providing clear communication. He was very patient with us, as we sorted out a payment issue upon arrival. And for anyone unsure about the best way to wire funds, I’ve learned that the Wise app is best for transferring money from the US to Stanbic Bank, after my bank wouldn’t wire, and other apps charged exorbitantly high fees or used poor exchange rates. Victor and Frank also worked together to get our delayed luggage delivered to us in rapid order! I couldn’t believe how smoothly they make everything work. It was the trip of a lifetime, and though I’m home now, I still relive the moments, and am forever grateful for the experiences provided by Ecovic Tours!

My husband and I had the best time with EcoVic Tours! From the start, the communication and organization were excellent. They met all the criteria identified in the itinerary and also went above and beyond our expectations with our accommodations and meals. Our driver Hussain was fantastic, getting us swiftly and safely to each destination despite the precarious road conditions. Be ready for the "African massage". He always explained the plan for the day and was open to adjustments and pit stops as per our requests. He's very knowledgeable about his country and the wildlife within it. Vincent was another guide with us who ensured our stays we're very comfortable. He provided a lot of information about the locations we stayed in and also made sure our tours ran smoothly. We never felt rushed and the time was managed very well. The lodges and food included in our budget safari in Uganda was the best out of our safari experience in Kenya (AVOID SAFARI EXPOSURE TOURS) and Tanzania (we camped here to save money and had a great time with Nature Excursion Safaris; different kind of experience). We did gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking, one game drive in a part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, and visited a village on Lake Bunyoni. Uganda has so much more to offer that we did not experience, and I highly recommend booking with EcoVic tours. Both Hussain and Vincent really made our holiday special!

Breathless and magic experience

My husband and I had always wanted to do a Safari, but we were hesitant because we couldn't find a reliable and easy way to book our dream vacation. Best Ever Holidays

I book with Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda because Vincent who organized my holiday is incredible. This is the third holiday I have booked with this company. Each time Vincent has surpassed all my expectations. The safari at Murchison Falls National Park was wonderful. This was a bucket list for me and I can't believe what a wonderful time I had. Milli and Theopista we're wonderful, kind, helpful and very resourceful. Not only did we see a multitude of animals we had incredible experiences. I can't thank them enough. Incredible special experience with Ecovic Tours and Travel uganda

Vincent was incredibly helpful and communicative in the build-up of our 10-day trip to Uganda. He sent us advise about other parts of uganda that we were visiting. We felt completely confident that from the moment we touched down in Uganda we would not have to think about anything for the next 10 days, and we were right! We were met by Frank, one of Ecovic guide which Vincent had arranged, and from that moment on it was a complete bliss. The lodges we stayed in were all wonderful - food was delicious (and plentiful!). We were continuously refreshed by tea and coffee breaks and evening drinks, both at the end on safari, the atmosphere was luxurious and relaxing. The bush drives themselves were very special, and our guide Frank spotted many animals with us and beautiful sights. I had a massage on one of the mornings which was great, before spending the day in between drives by the pool looking for Lions. All Ecovic staff members were friendly and welcoming, and we were sad to leave! I highly recommend Ecovic Tours and Travel Uganda to anybody looking to book a trip to Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania.

Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda and in particular our guide Frank made this amazing experience extra special. The trip was well-organised from the beginning to the end, the accommodation was lovely (and usually in a fabulous, scenic location) and everything was focused on making sure that our experience was the best. I cannot speak highly enough of Ecovic Tours, it is a very professional company whose focus is on making sure that their clients enjoy their time in a lovely country. Our guide Frank clearly loves his country and is an amazing ambassador for Uganda and for Ecovic Tours & Travel Uganda.

Vincent was both prompt AND personal, creating a great celebration for us!

We communicated with five different operators and chose Ecovic Tours because of Vincent's quick response and him interest in the purpose of our trip (celebrating our 30th anniversary!). He helped us book able five day Murchison Falls and Kibale National Parks Safari in Uganda. There were many choices, but he helped us enjoy in what we really wanted. The safaris we went on every day were phenomenal! There were a variety of activities including; top of the falls walk, boat cruises, chimpanzees tracking, guided walk in nature among others. Everything we did was awe-inspiring; we saw the big 5 within the first 3 hours of our game drive at Murchison Falls National Park AND enjoyed chimpanzees tracking at Kibale National Park that ended up being a private adventure! Ecovic is an excellent loving leisure and environmental conservation oriented tour operator

Well, when it comes to services, it's really amazing. The staff is down is to earth and for sure I really recommend for other clients who are interested in environment conservation packages. It was really a good experience working with the environmental conservation communities in Kibale forest reserve and on the Rwenzori mountain. Hicking to the top was really a tough experience though enjoyable:)
