Tour Overview

This biking safari adventure takes you, at first, for a thrilling ride around the Kathmandu valley. As you ride up and down the hills and adventurous trails on your mountain bike, the beautiful Himalayas dominate the skyline. And then, the trip takes you to Chitwan National Park. Lonely Planet, the largest travel guide book publisher, says it is “one of the best wildlife-viewing national parks in Asia”.

You begin your biking adventure by paddling from Kathmandu. Enjoy riding in the bustling city and then start a challenging ride to Kakani, a quiet town atop a ridge. The hill station offers mesmerizing views of the Himalayan ranges from Annapurna to Everest (weather permitting). Ahead is a 9-km single track, known as “Scar Road”, which runs through Shivapuri National Park. In the trip, you will get lots of opportunities to ride in challenging trails. On Day 3 while biking from Shivapuri village to Chisapani, you will ride on a single biking trail known as “30 Minutes of Heaven”.

From Chisapani, cycle to Nagarkot, which is another popular hill station offering the breathtaking sights of the snow-white peaks. The major attraction of staying overnight at Nagarkot is the sunrise in the morning. Wake up before dawn and go out on the balcony. You will be amazed at the scenery. The sun rays light up the Himalayan mountains and turn them from white to red and gold.

From Nagarkot, ride for 5 km along a ridge at first. You will pass through beautiful towns that have preserved their cultures well and have distinct medieval look. They are Panauti and Dhulikhel, both of which are Newari towns. You will stay at Dhulikhel today. The next morning’s ride will take you from Dhulikhel to Banepa via the sacred Buddhist pilgrimage site, Namobuddha. From Banepa you will be picked up and driven back to Kathmandu. You will pass through a giant statue of Shiva, one of the significant Hindu gods along the way.

When the biking tour ends, the safari adventure begins. Take a drive to Chitwan National Park. At the park, you will do lots of activities such as elephant safari, canoeing, jungle safari, visit to elephant breeding centre and watching wildlife. You will get to watch some of the rare wild birds and animals and plants.

Despite the last minute booking, everything went smoothly from start to end. A friend did the EBC trekk recently (October 2023) and Ace came highly recommended. We finally chose the luxury trip to elevate our experience. (Best decision! 😬) Starting from the website, everything is well explained in great detail, leaving me little room for redundant questions. I’ve been previously asking another operator, but information is too general & vague, raising so many unanswered questions. Booking procedures were also straightforward, with a few questions here and there being nicely accommodated by Ace. All services promised were delivered, from pick up, hotel transfers etc. We’re also delighted with the hotel chosen, loved Ramada’s breakfast, rooms were clean & spacious bathrooms. Came the actual trek, our guide Madan & porter Jit, also came highly recommended by a friend. Great recommendation, indeed! Madan’s leadership on this trek has delivered us a fun, relaxing, yet safe and secure experience! His extensive experience & knowledge on Himalayan treks made us feel always at ease that we’re in good hands. Always briefing us on details about what’s coming during the trek, food & drinks suggestion, constantly being attentive to our needs. When my husband started showing high altitude symptoms, Madan had always give the right suggestions on what to take or do, giving us the assurance that we can make this trek. Jit our porter also displayed a well behaved professional manner, our belongins are always ontime & safely landed in the next guesthouse. And if we need to get some stuff in the middle of the trek, he would be happily waited for us and let us unpack to take what we need. Thank you, Madan & Jit! Briefings were always done by Prem himself, showing us a great deal of responsibility & sense of belonging to the business and customer’s satisfaction. What I appreciated even more, there was even a post-trek evaluation meeting, ending it eith a nice farewell dinner. I think it’s trully a nice touch to make our whole experience wonderful, like I said from start to end. Thank you Ace, Prem, Madan & Jit, for taking care of us, for giving us such sweet memories. I will definitely recommend you guys to everyone!

I had the privilege of embarking on the Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal with Ace the Himalaya, and I can confidently say that this tour company exceeded all my expectations. From the incredible scenary of the Himalaya Mountain Range to the exceptional performance of our guides; Ramhari, Soman, Kumar, Assistant Guide Hari and the dedicated porters Girija, Jaya, Shere, and Mukul, the entire journey was filled with unforgettable moments. The value for the money is outstanding. It's worth paying a bit more for the quality of care and service you receive. In situations where safety can be an issue, trust in your guides is paramount, and this team excelled in this regard. The company's customer service iss exemplary, with quick and genuine responses to our inquiries and concerns. Without a doubt, I highly recommend Ace the Himalaya to fellow trekkers in Nepal. Their level of expertise, care, and trustworthiness is unrivaled, and I'm already planning my next trip with them. I wholeheartedly rate them 5 out of 5 stars. In summary, my journey with Ace the Himalaya was exceptional, thanks to their knowledgeable guides, responsive customer service, and unwavering commitment to safety.

I did the three pass trek in the counter clockwise direction. All the food I had was very good and there was a lot of different options to choose from. Almost all accommodations were good apart from one, but I’m satisfied considering the remote locations. My guide, Gopal, was very accommodating and fulfilled my every request. He helped arrange my horse and also offered to carry my day bag in difficult parts of the trek. Overall I had a great experience with Ace the Himalaya and would use them again for future treks in Nepal.

What an amazing experience made even better by Ace the Himalaya. Their organisation, their guide (Chris) and their porters (Samir, Dambar, Rinji and Chhabi) really did take all the stress out of the trek. Highly recommend! Chris was a very experienced guide, very knowledgable, great story teller and funny! He also was very caring and attentive when our daughter was ill. Request him as your guide you won’t regret it!
