Itinerary
Day 1 : Tarangire National Park
Location: Tarangire National Park
Accommodation: Lodge
Accommodation Name: Ngare lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After having breakfast in Moshi, your professional safari guide and driver will pick you up and provide you a short briefing about the safari. We will then proceed to Tarangire National Park. The park is characterized by the Tarangire River and features low-lying hills on the floor of the Great Rift Valley.
The natural vegetation in the park consists of Acacia woodland and majestic African Baobab trees, with expansive swamp areas in the southern part. These water sources attract a diverse range of wildlife, particularly during Tanzania's dry season.
Tarangire National Park is renowned for:
Hosting the largest elephant herds in Africa.
Offering opportunities to spot hartebeests, gazelles, and remarkable birds such as the bateleur and martial eagle.
Showcasing a wild landscape adorned with open grasslands, acacia trees, and the Tarangire River.
We will enjoy a picnic lunch within the park and partake in thrilling morning and afternoon game drives along the Tarangire River. This river serves as a vital water source for the wildlife in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season.
At the end of the day, we will drive to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 : Ngorongoro Crater
Location: Ngorongoro Crater
Accommodation: Hotel
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
After breakfast, we will descend 600m into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day morning game drive.
The Ngorongoro Crater is renowned for being one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in Africa. It is home to approximately 30,000 animals, including some of the last remaining black rhinos in Tanzania. Thanks to a consistent water supply and abundant vegetation, the crater supports a diverse range of wildlife.
During our visit, you can expect to encounter:
Herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and majestic African elephants.
The crater is also famous for its impressive predator population, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard.
We will enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater, surrounded by the stunning scenery, before starting our journey back to Moshi or Arusha, where our African safari adventure concludes.
