9 Days Unforgettable Tanzania

The tour was great we saw a little bit of everything. The accommodations and the people were very welcoming, our favorite was land of nature. Our driver Elia was the best he made sure we saw all the animals on our list, was very informative and super helpful. Definitely an amazing experience!

We had a week on safari and then 5 nights at Zanzibar (definitely the right order to do it in), and it was amazing. Karato from Alaitol Safari picked us up in Arusha and took us to the Ngorongoro Crater, and then on to The Serengeti, and it was the most amazing 5 days. Not only is Karato very knowledgeable about safari and life in Tanzania, his own personal life story is unforgettable - we truly felt like we had become friends by the end of it - which made the experience even more special. His enthusiasm for life in infectious and made an already memorable holiday even more so. We also really liked the safety and customer care that Alaitol Safari provide - we felt like we were in great hands, not just with Karato but with the company more broadly. Our family of 5 (boys aged 15,13,8) had the most incredible wildlife safari with Alaitol Safaris. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and professional and the company is very clear about procedures for tipping ahead of time which is greatly appreciated. The tour guides clearly take pride in their jobs. They made us feel like family. The pop-top land cruiser was comfortable and they partner with Torrillis camps for those who want a glamping experience more in nature rather than a lodge which our family loved. Our favorite destinations were Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro crater which surprised us because we thought we would want more time in the Serengeti. We traveled at the end of November during the shoulder season but still saw the big 5 and witnessed the wildebeest migration. It was very rainy in the Serengeti and multiple companies had cars that got stuck. We were very grateful to be with a company that had multiple cars in the reserve at the same time to help each other - some small companies were stuck for 12 hours or more - basically lost the whole day of sight seeing- and were still waiting when we left after trying unsuccessfully to help them. In addition we were able to customize our trip to include transportation to Dodoma as we couldn’t find flights that coordinated with our schedule. Mary was fantastic to work with and the trip was one of the best ever adventures for our pretty adventurous family.

We were novices but should not have worried. Our entire package was so well organized. Everything possible for our success in seeing animals and birds happened flawlessly. Our guide, Onesmo, answered every question about animals, birds and plants with in-depth knowledge and enthusiasm for his teaching role. Lodges were comfortable. Food amazing. How do they do that in such remote spaces? Everything happened on time and at the highest standard.

I had a memorable experience with Alaitol Safaris . I really didn’t know what to expect considering I didn’t plan this and just had my friends do all the planning. Went on a 5 days safari with our guide Geofry. First, he’s an amazing man. He’s kind, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the animals, environment and local people. He knew how to navigate without GPS. Secondly, I felt safe and trusted him. His English was great. We had amazing conversation in the car. The time went by so quick. Geofry, come to NYC so I can share the same hospitality! He drove strategically through the safari and bumpy roads without any of us being injured or road sick. Driving through the safari was no easy task. Roads are uneven, unpaved, and muddy but Geofry did a great job driving through it all. I got bit by a fly and he pulled over to see the fly and check if we were ok. Lions king adventure linked us with an amazing stay at several places such as Puzuri inn, Eileen’s tree house and my favorite Land of Nature campsite. We noticed that during our trip we had warm cooked meals instead of cold dry lunch boxes like other safari travelers. That’s one of the perks of booking with Alaitol Safaris. The car was cleaned each time we set out for a new safari. The car was equipped with cold refreshments. This has been one of the most memorable experience i have ever had. My friend told me we booked through Alaitol Safaris because they were the quickest ones to respond back to an inquiry unlike the others. Our honeymoon first-stop trip was absolutely amazing. We've seen a huge amount of animals and all the members of the big five. Our guide (Freddy) was incredible, really kind and professionnal. He knows the animals, the bahaviour and sees stuff what others can't see. I highly recommand this company with Freddy as guide.

Must book with Alaitol Safaris We went to Tanzania for our first African safari, and we truly enjoyed our time because of Alaitol Safaris expertise in planning this trip with us as well as because of our marvelous guide Joseph. When we were trying to decide who to trust our safari trip planning, we had so many companies to choose from. Our friends had recommended Alaitol Safaris from their own successful trip and we’re glad we listened to them! What sets this Alaitol Safaris apart is that they are located within Tanzania, have been established for many years, allow for private tours, and as we look through the reviews, their prior customers have all written excellent reviews. We were able to select a package that fit within our budget and customize accommodations based on what we were looking for out of our trip. Our domestic flights were arranged by Alaitol Safaris and the timing was calculated and precise. Our Safari adventures consisted of visiting Serengeti national park, Ngorongoro crater national park, and Tarangire national park. We were able to see the big five with our fantastic guide Joseph, who was extremely knowledgeable about the fauna and flora and he was also experienced in knowing where to drive to get the best angle for viewing the animals. One time he was the first to spot a rhino mother and baby in the distance before other tour vans arrived. Another time, he convinced us to stay to watch a lioness who appeared to be lounging in the shade but unexpectedly (to us), she started chasing her prey during a spontaneous hunt. He somehow knew that this was going to happen and gave us a great perspective to watch. He also was very flexible and timely, and spoke with us each afternoon about how to plan the next days safari tour. We loved Joseph! Look no further and book with Alaitol Safaris!

We are so happy we chose Alaitol Safaris for our trip! Hussein was our guide who was VERY professional, knowledgable, answered all our questions, and made sure we had the best time! He helped other guides, he knew all the lodges, and he advocated for us at every hotel/lodge we stayed at. He made sure we got to see as many wildlife as possible. He has 11 years of experience and he is fluent in English. The pick up and drop off from the airport was seamless. We got to visit 3 different NPs. Pre Tour communication was excellent, Jane let us choose our own lodging and were flexible about frequent changes to our plans. We enjoyed choosing our own lodging. We did a Safari, including Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. Accomodations were, Mawe Mawe Manyara Lodge, Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge and Signatute Serengeti Luxury Tented Safari Camp. Our Safari Guide/Driver/Wilderness Specialist was Goodluck. With his vast experience in the wilderness of those different parks we were able to experience the true wonders of this precious place of wildlife in the heart of africa. Mr. Goodluck was able to anticipate the behaviour of the animals. So for example at one point in the serengeti we were watching very closely a pack of lions. Suddenly we were leaving the site because he spotted close by a male lion sitting on one of famous rock formations, on top of a kopjes- hill. The first minutes we were there just by ourselves enjoying this truly iconic moment of this male lion sitting on this rock. In Situations like that we were able to experience the true magic of the Serengeti, because of the great skills which Mr. Goodluck possesses. We were able to see many animals, including baby cheetas. About the accomodations, we liked especially Mawe Mawe and the Signature Camp. All in all it was a once in a lifetime experience! Special Thanks to Alaitol Safaris!
