Do you love animal spotting? You are looking for that perfect picture of a herd of lions? With this package, you will spend 2 full days in the park... keep that camera ready, there will be lots of opportunities to shoot the Selous wildlife in a friendly camera way. An early transfer, a short flight, and you are in the middle of the African bush. You will enjoy a day full of activities to explore the surroundings and a full day game drive with a lunch break in between, looking for the giraffes, antelopes, lions, and the biggest variety of colourful birds. 2 nights in Africa Safari Selous, where they will welcome you with drinks, lunch, dinner and a comfortable bed. After 2 days of tasting the African life, early morning, you will fly back to the beach.

Day 1 : Arrival

Location: Nyerere National Park, Africa Safari Selous

Accommodation: Camp, Lodge

Accommodation Name: Africa Safari Selous

You will be picked up early in the morning at the hotel you are staying for a transfer to the airport. From here you will catch your flight from Zanzibar to Selous Game Reserve/Nyerere National Park.

Once you have arrived, your shared safari game drive will start in the largest Game Reserve of the African Continent, with a mid-morning coffee/tea break. During the game drive you will explore the wildlife and environment of Tanzania. Our driver guides have a lot of experience with the area and the wildlife and love to tell you everything about it.

Experience an authentic safari bush lunch in the middle of the National Park! During break-time, a warm lunch will be served at set tables in the bush. After lunch, you will continue with the game drive.

After enjoying a full-day game drive you will head towards our Africa Safari Selous accommodation. After check-in, you will be shown your Banda Bungalow where you can take a nice shower and go to the restaurant to enjoy your dinner.

Day 2 : Explore Beho Beho & Game Drive

Location: Africa Safari Selous, Beho-Beho

Accommodation: Camp, Lodge

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The following morning, after breakfast, your second full-day game drive will start. On this day you will visit the Beho Beho area, attracting incredible birdlife as well as hippos and crocodiles. Here you will also visit the Hot Springs. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit as you will get the chance to swim here!

Experience an authentic safari bush lunch in the middle of the National Park! During break-time, a warm lunch will be served at set tables in the bush. After lunch, you will continue with the game drive.

After enjoying a full day game drive you will head back towards our Africa Safari Selous accommodation. Enjoy another evening and night of relaxation while sleeping in the Tanzanian Bush.

Day 3 : Departure

Location: Zanzibar Island

Meals Included: Breakfast

The following morning, after breakfast, you will be brought to the airstrip of Selous Game Reserve / Nyerere National Park, from where your flight back to Zanzibar will depart. From here our driver will be awaiting you to bring you back to your hotel.

A great first safari experience!

Great 8 days safari experience, saw all big 5s and some bonuses (3 cheetah encounters) in the rain season! Our guide Khalid is experienced and very knowledgeable, he answered all our questions about the animals and knows about the route very well, we can't imagine having this trip without him. I would highly recommend having a safari with Khalid. For accommodations, we stayed at 3 locations of the Africa Safari lodges, Lake Manyara, South Serengeti, and Serengeti Ikoma. All the staffs we have encountered were super nice and helpful and tried their best to meet our needs, kudos to the Africa Safari lodge staffs!

We are now enjoying the second phase of our holiday, relaxing in Zanzibar for 7 nights after an 8 night safari on the mainland. We are a group of 6 friends and have all had the most wonderful time. Our special holiday was made even more special by our guide, Christopher. He looked after us like friends and made sure each one of us had the experience of a lifetime. We have felt thoroughly spoiled and cannot recommend Christopher highly enough. Wonderful.

Safari followed by beach resort. Personalised itinerary to suit our group of friends. Amazing staff at the lodges. Excellent food in all of them. One amazing safari guide...CHRISTOPHER! This is my 6th safari and 3rd one in Tanzania. We visited lake Maynara, Ngorongo crate, lake Natron and Serengeti. Without doubt Christopher is the best guide I've had the pleasure of meeting. His knowledge of wildlife and flora is outstanding. He made sure we saw the big 5 and so much more! Over 70 different bird species and even a Caracal, one of the rarest cats living in the Serengeti. Thank you Christopher. This is a trip I will always remember because of you.

Amazing 8 day Safari… with an amazing guide

My wife and I came with friends as a group of six. It was our first so we had no idea what to expect… Africa Safari was our chosen company for our tailor made Safari. They were excellent beforehand and throughout our whole trip. All the accommodation, staff and food has been fantastic. Our guide was Christopher… What an amazing guy and guide he is. I can honestly say that he really made the Safari something extra special for us. He looked after us so well and his knowledge of the areas, wildlife and flora is second to none. Thanks to Christopher we managed to see the top 5 as well as many, many other animals and around 100 species of birds. If we ever return to Tanzania for Safari, we will be requesting Christopher’s services.
