From Bologna, the eponymous home of the famous Bolognese pasta, to Modena with its renowned balsamic vinegar, and Ravenna with its sumptuous sparkling red Lambrusco wine, there will be plenty of places during this tour for you to sample traditional Italian delights, as well as to turn your hand at making them as well. But it’s not all about the food (though trying authentic Parmigiano Reggiano in Parma is a particular highlight) as along the way you will also experience the rich history of the areas that make this delicious produce, from the Byzantine architecture of mosaic, adorned Ravenna to the diverse links Bologna has to the Etruscans, Gauls, and the Romans.
