The Dead Sea is 31 miles long and 9 miles wide and its widest point.

Visit the Baptismal Site of Bethany Beyond Jordan

Travelers who select this Choice will join their Jordanian Tour Manager for a guided walking tour of the only UNESCO-recognized Baptismal Site - recognized also by all major Christian confessions. Travelers must be prepared to walk about 1 mile (1.5 km) over mostly flat terrain. Travelers will mostly walk along dirt paths, with some areas being paved but there is loose gravel along the way and the area leading down to the Jordan river has about 10 steps that can be slippery when wet. Most of the time the paths are under direct sun with very limited shade and shelter. Travelers must be prepared to walk and stand for about 90 minutes, in intense heat.

Valley of the Kings Located among the cliffs on the west bank of the Nile near Luxor is the Valley of the Kings, home to the tombs of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom. The tombs were built here over a period of almost 500 years. There are 63 tombs in the valley, 26 of them carved for kings, and the others were carved for royal family members.

Travelers selecting this Choice should expect an early continental breakfast on the ship and a 6:45 a.m. departure to the temple of Edfu. Travelers will join their Tour Manager for a guided tour of the temple for which they should be prepared to walk and stand for about 75 minutes over mostly unpaved or uneven terrain and with very limited shade. No seating is available during the actual guided tour. Breakfast will still be available on board upon returning to the ship.
Kom Ombo Kom Ombo is a town in Egypt famous for its temple, the Temple of Kom Ombo. This Graceo-Roman temple was built in 332 B.C. Being a double temple makes it quite unique. One temple is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and the other is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god.
Aswan Aswan is a city in the south of Egypt located just north of the Aswan dams on the east bank of the Nile River and is 81 miles south of Luxor, Egypt. It is said to be Egypt’s sunniest southern city and has a busy market and tourist center.

Children over the age of 5 may travel on a Collette tour accompanied by an adult. Child land rates are valid for ages 5-12, sharing a room with two full-paying adults. Participation in any products that include Safari or Game Drive components, is limited to travelers aged 13 and up. This will include tours to Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa and India.

What is the difference between a twin room and double room?
In certain countries, hotel rooms tend to be smaller than U.S. standard accommodations. A double room is designed to accommodate two people, but may not have two separate beds. A twin-bedded room has two separate beds of any size, and is the type most commonly utilized.

Do I need a passport?
Government-issued ID is required for all air travel. A valid passport is required for all trips outside the USA. All passengers should check with the appropriate foreign consulate for entry and validity requirements. We recommend that your passport has six months validity, and at least 3 blank pages. Passports and visas are the responsibility of each client. International Borders. Any child under age 16 (traveling without a parent or legal guardian to Canada) must have written permission from a parent or legal guardian. Please be advised that if you have been convicted of an offense, or have committed a criminal act that is an offense under the laws where it occurred and would be an offense in Canada, you may be inadmissible into Canada. You will need to apply for a Minister's Permit of Approval of Rehabilitation at a Canadian Consulate. All other travelers should contact the appropriate consulate for entry requirements in other international destinations. In South Africa, children are required to have a passport as well as additional documentation to travel with you into and out of the country.
