Day 1 : Islamabad Pakistan

Location: Islamabad, Shah Faisal Masjid, Pakistan Monument Museum, Margala Hills

Warm welcome to Pakistan . Upon your arrival at Islamabad International Airport you will be received and transferred to your luxurious accommodation by our tour guide in a private vehicle.

Depending on your arrival time to Islamabad we normally recommend keeping your first evening free to count for possible fatigue from long journey. In case of your arrival in the morning time, city tour of Islamabad will be arranged for you.

Day 2 : Islamabad-Gilgit (Domestic Flight)

Location: Gilgit, Kargah Buddha, Yshani, Gilgit Airport

Accommodation: Hotel, On twin sharing basis

After a delightful breakfast at your luxurious hotel, you’ll be met by your insightful private guide, who will lead you to the New Islamabad International airport for a scenic 1 hr. domestic flight to Gilgit from Islamabad. You will certainly like the flight as it passes over snowcapped mountains and mesmerizing valleys.

Upon arrival at Gilgit Airport, you will be taken to Kargha Buddha, a statue carved in the 7th century and it is a famous heritage site situated a few kilometers from Gilgit city.

After Kargah Budha the guide will lead you to Gilgit city for a short city tour, mainly the bazar. You will then be transferred to your luxury hotel for lunch and then to have a free time at the hotel to relax and enjoy.

Day 3 : Gilgit-Hunza

Location: Hunza Valley, Rakaposhi View Point Nagar, Karimabad

Toady our journey is towards the very known Hunza valley which is often referred as “Heaven on Earth”.

After a heavenly breakfast inclusive of some traditional appetizer at your lavish hotel in Gilgit city, the drive to the much-awaited Hunza valley starts. After half an hour drive there will be a stopover at the remains of “Ancient Silk Route “ the route was a network that linked distinct cultures, regions, ethnicities and religions. There was not only trade of goods like silk, gems, brass, leather, opium, slaves, perfumery, spices etc., but also exchange of ideas, skills, cuisine, lifestyle and religions. Among the variety of exchanges, the state of Hunza was notorious for selling slaves in the markets of the Silk Road in Central Asia.

The journey continues along the Hunza river on the Karakoram highway cutting through rocks and passing through beautiful villages. After 1.5 hrs. scenic drive from Gilgit you will reach Rakaposhi viewpoint situated in Nagar valley. Rakaposhi on the Karakoram range is 7,788 m high and ranked 27th tallest in the world. Enjoying a cup of Chai at this spot would be nice sitting beside the fresh stream of water coming directly from the mountain.

After a half an hour drive the Hunza jurisdiction starts and the main town of Hunza “ Karimabad: is still an hour drive from here , and the drive is on the Karakoram Highway along the Hunza river.

Upon arrival at Karimabad Hunza you will check in at your lavish hotel followed by a lunch. Later in the afternoon you will be taken for a canal walk starting from the hotel. It will be an hour walk which aims to offer you an opportunity to get a sense of the people lifestyle at the surrounding and to interact with local people. In the evening we will take a visit to Karimabad bazar and for a meal at local hygienic restaurant offering traditional meals of Hunza that includes organic juices like apricot and cherry juice.

Day 4 : Hunza Full Day

Location: Hunza Valley, Karimabad, Baltit Fort, Altit Fort, Eagle's Nest Road

Accommodation: Hotel, Hotel on twin sharing basis

Apart from its natural beauty Hunza is also known for its progressive residents and has a 99% literacy rate which is the highest in Pakistan. Parallel to men, women of the area is also making their contribution in almost every walk of life for the progress of their family and the area. They run small restaurants, café , carpet weaving canters, honeybee keeping, and along with several other professions.

After a delightful breakfast, we will set out to explore some community-based organisations such as KADO which has been working in the area for several years. We will also visit a carpet weaving center and a women enterprise called Ciqam where women between the ages of 19 and 40 are designing, cutting and polishing wood for furniture and making doors and windows.

Women of Ciqam also have a café In the lush green orchard below the Altit fort, old apricot and apple trees provide some shade for visitors who can sample the local cuisine prepared by the women. We will be having lunch at this Café and some fresh juices like apricot Juice and then herbal tea will also be served.

Visiting Karimabad Hunza and not Duikar (eagles’ nest) will leave the experience incomplete. Enjoy the evening at the highest village of central Hunza called Duikar would be a retreat. Duikar offers a stunning view of Central Hunza and of the snow caped mountains surrounding it. After Duikar we will drive back to the hotel at Karimabad for overnight stay.

Day 5 : Hunza, Nagar, And Attabad Lake

Location: Karimabad, Nagar Khas Road, Attabad Lake, Eagle Nest

Accommodation: Hotel, on twin sharing basis

Right after a delicious breakfast we will depart for Hopper village at Nagar valley which is an hour drive. It is a beautiful village and the road passing through the middle of the offering view of houses and beautiful fields mainly of potato and grain crops. Upon arrival at hopper village we will trek for 15-20 minutes to get to the hopper glacier viewpoint. After a short stop at the viewpoint, we will trek back to hopper village and enjoy Chai at a local restaurant.

Attabad lake is waiting for you and we must go: After the tea break we depart for Attabad lake 1.5 hr drive from hopper village, an hour drive on a kacha paka road and then the drive will be on the Karakoram highway along with the Gojal river which connects with Hunza river.

Attabad lake was formed in 2010 by a huge landslide blocking the Gojal river and Karakoram highway forming a 28-kilometer lake where parts of several villages came under water. How it affected the life of the local people is a long story which we should tell you in person at Attabad lake over a cup of tea at the most spacious and comfortable hotel at Attabad lake. Upon arrival at Attabad lake we shall check in and after an hour time take a boat tour for the lake. The luxurious hotel at the lake offers spectacular
view of the lake and we believe you should have enough time to relax and enjoy here which is why after lunch you have free time to relax and enjoy.

Day 6 : Attabadlake, Gulmit, Kamaris, And Ghulkin

Location: Gulmit, Ghulkin, Gojal, Hunza, Kamaris

Accommodation: Hotel, Twin sharing basis

Today is a bit different day for us. How would you feel having a meal with a local family here ? what about vesting a random house while walking around the village ? it might sound a bit strange but let me tell you that the people of this area are warm hearted and they will feel honor to have you at their house .

The day will start with a delicious breakfast at Attabad lake and then a short drive to Gulmit village where will be visiting a small museum, a community based music school called “bulbulek” where young boys and girls are trained for the local instrumentals like sitar, Rubab and Ghajek and few more.

We will take a herbal tea break and a women led café at Gulmit village and then start a walk form Gulmit village to Kamaris and then to Ghulkin. On this walk you will have a chance to see the house and other structures around the village, the crops and fruits in the area, and chat with some locals on the way. On this walk we will also visit a local house for a tea at Kamaris village. These short tea breaks at local café and houses are aimed to share the benefit of your visit with them and offer you the opportunity to make an interaction with them.
The walk is in avg of 3 hrs and those who do not wish to take a long walk a private vehicle with a guide will be there to take care of them. Upon arrival at Ghulkin you will have a traditional meal with a local family at Ghulkin village. There are options for nature and glacier walks which can also be arranged if demanded.

After lunch you will be visiting a local carpet weaving center and then drive back to Attabad lake for overnight at the most comfortable and luxury hotel in the area

Day 7 : Ghulkin, Hussaini, Borith, And Passu

Location: Hussaini, Passu, Pasu Glacier

Accommodation: Hotel, Hotel on twin sharing basis

Not sure if you have ever tried a Yak meat or an apricot cake ever in your life ? not an issue we will be having them today.
After breakfast we will check out from the hotel and drive to Hussaini village , there is a suspension footbridge which connect one part of the village to the other side as the sole source of connection. If you are an adventure lover then it is a good test for your nerves, it would be great opportunity to test yourself by crossing the suspension bridge.

After this short stop we will drive to Borith lake which is a small lake at Borith village. We will stop for a tea at a local café at the bank of the lake and will have some time to enjoy the view. White glacier Ghulkin is waiting for you. We will drive to the zero point (10 minutes’ drive) upon arrival at the point we will go for a short trek to the white glacier , in avg it is a 30 minutes trek each side and the view is mesmerizing.

Yak grill is waiting for you: Lets drive back to Passu village where Yak grill and apricot cake are waiting for you. Upon arrival we will walk to a local restaurant which offers Yak grill. It is a new restaurant but has become famous in a short time. Just few minutes’ drive this restaurant is the apricot cake café where which is a must visit place.

We still must drive back to Gilgit for our next day (avg 3 hrs.) flight to Islamabad. After a rich lunch we will drive back to Gilgit for overnight stay.

Day 8 : Gilgit-Islamabad ( Domestic Flight )

Location: Gilgit, Gilgit Airport, Islamabad, New Islamabad Airport Road

Accommodation: Hotel, twin sharing basis

It is time to say goodbye to Gilgit-Baltistan: We will transfer you to the airport for a domestic flight to Islamabad. Upon arrival at Islamabad we will explore some appealing attractions such as Faisal mosque, Pakistan monument, Pakistan heritage museum. Each of these places have a unique structure and importance.

We will have lunch a restaurant in a food street in Islamabad . Followed by the lunch we will drive to the hotel for checking in and free time to relax. In the evening we will visit Monal restaurant on top of the Margalla hills which offers spectacular view of Islamabad with an outdoor setup. After dinner drive back to Islamabad for overnight stay.

Day 9 : Islamabad, Peshawar, Islamabad

Location: Islamabad, Peshawar, Qissa Khwani Bazaar

Accommodation: Hotel, on twin sharing basis

Meals Included: Breakfast

Depart for Peshawar city tour. Visit Qisa Khwani Bazar, Namak nandi, Abdullah Khan mosque, Sethi house, and drive back to Islamabad for overnight stay.

Day 10 : Airport Transfer For International Departure
