Day 01: Bangalore To Halebidu/Belur

Location: Belur, Bengaluru

Day 01: Bangalore to Halebidu/Belur: Morning "Discover Activities", shall provide pickup from your hotel in Bangalore and get driven to Belur and Halebidu. Arrive and check in hotel. Later proceed to visit: The Chennakeshava Temple in Belur, constructed in 1117 AD and has been built in an architectural style (Hoysala Style) which was new to the region. The monument is exceptionally large and its decoration is very lavish. The decorations for this temple still continued after the king by his various successors over a time period of nearly 103 years. Hoysaleswara Temple at Halebidu city portrays The height of Hoysalan art and architecture. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Also opposite to the temple is a big statue of Nandi. It took more than eighty years to construct partially and was left uncompleted. The temple is richly ornamented with most intricately carvings. Overnight at the hotel in Belur/Halebidu region.

Day 2 : Belur/Halebidu To Coorg

Later proceed to visit Abbey falls-Tucked away between private coffee and spice estates, Abbey Falls offers a splendid backdrop for picnics. Madikeri Fort - The 19th century Madikeri fort with its stone ramparts now houses the prison, a temple, a chapel, a small museum, and assorted government offices, Omkareshwara Temple - built in 1820 and featuring a blend of red-tile roofed Kerela architecture and Islamic-style domes. Evening visit Raja Seat- is an enchanting picnic spot with a swathing in the nature's lap. A visitor to this spot is sure to enjoy the marvelous sight of Sun set and gorgeous valley and mountain ranges. Musical fountain has been attracting numerous visitors to the garden. Return to hotel for overnight at the hotel in Coorg.

Day 3 : Coorg

Location: Madikeri

Morning have buffet breakfast at the hotel. Later enjoy the tour of Coorg, Morning breakfast, proceed to visit Bhagamandala - situated at the confluence of two rivers, the Cauvery and the Kanika. A third river, the Sujyothi is said to join from underground. It is considered sacred as a river confluence, visit Talacauvery - known as Dakshin Kashi is the birthplace of river Cauvery at the foot of the breathtaking Brahmagiri Hills in Coorg. The river flows down inconspicuously as 'Guptagamini' from here before re-emerging a small distance downwards at Nagateerta. Cauvery's soulful journey starts unchecked from there where she would join the Kannike and Sujyoti rivers at the Triveni Sangama in Bhagamandala to flow further. Return Back to hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Coorg

Day 4 : Coorg To Bandipur

What SIngh jo does not...

What SIngh jo does not know about Old Delhi is probably not worth knowing. He is a walking history book and has detailed knowledge of the sites and monuments which he shares with joy and great enthusiasm. I highly recommend his walking tours which include rickshaw rides - and a penetrating flash of sight into Indian culture.

Mr Jai Singh was the most professional and communicative tour operator that I have encountered to date. Not only was his knowledge exceptional on the possible options on hotels and activities, but he assisted us in successfully recovering our money when the Indian government unfortunately changed the visa requirements at the last minute resulting in having to cancel our visit. Update: Booked the Lodhi Gardens tour on my 2nd trip to Delhi at the end of July. Beautiful place to visit and very informative tour from Jai.

I enjoyed a really interesting and reasonably priced private tour of Mehrauli Archaeological Park and Tughlaqabad Fort with Jai. It’s hard to find guides for these places but Jai did a great job of organising and running the tour.
