Sign up and board a plane for a Luxor-Cairo day tour to the most famous Egyptian treasures. This is the opportunity to explore the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Kafre and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx and visit the Valley Temple on the Giza Plateau, the Djozer Step-Pyramid at Saqqara and the remains of the ancient capital Memphis. End the day with a visit to the newly opened National Museum of Egyptian Civilization; since April 2021 the resting place of the greatest Pharaohs of Egypt. Spend the evening at your leisure (optional dinner cruise on the Nile) and the night at your Cairo accommodation. The following morning your fly back to Luxor (including transfers).

Day 1 : Luxor to Cairo
Location: Memphis, Giza Necropolis, Saqqara Necropolis, Cairo, The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.

• Pick-up at your Luxor accommodation to Luxor International Airport for a domestic flight to Cairo International Airport.
• Your tour guide will meet you to start your Cairo Tour.
• Start at the Giza Plateau, a 4.600-year-old necropolis on the outskirts of Cairo and stand in awe at the Great Sphinx, a 73m long and 20m high limestone statue, guarding the complex.
• You will visit the oldest Wonder of the Ancient World, and only one remaining: the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops)….
• … and the pyramids of Kafre (Chefren) and Menkaure.
• Walk through the Valley Temple, the Mortuary Temple of Kafre with alabaster floors and granite pillars.
• Visit the Saqqara Plateau, the oldest complete stone building complex known in history where the Pyramid of Djozer awaits you.
• Next stop is the ancient capital Memphis, which remains are now an open air-museum. You will see the famous White Sphinx and stand face to face with the Ramses II Colossus.
• You will have lunch in a good local restaurant.
• Conclude the day with a visit to the recently opened National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. On April 3, 2021, the Pharaoh’s Golden Parade brought 22 Royal Mummies to the NMEC. You will admire the Egyptian History from prehistoric times to modern day.
• You will be brought to your Cairo accommodation for the night.
