Day 6 : Kings Valley, Hatshepsut Temple And Colossi Of Memnon

Location: Luxor, Valley of the Kings, Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon

Today, you will visit the glorious tombs of the Valley of the Kings. The pharaohs during the New Kingdom ceased building pyramids and cut their tombs deep into the mountain trying to hide them from the grave robbers. There are 65 tombs in the Valley of the Kings, your guide will suggest the best 3 tombs of the opened ones to visit. From the glorious Valley of the Kings to the unique Temple of the female pharaoh Hatshepsut who served as solo pharaoh for about 20 years. You will end your trip at the giant Colossi of Memnon which survives from the Temple of pharaoh Amenhotep III. Back to the ship to set sail to Edfu via the Lock of Esna. Overnight is in Edfu.

Day 7 : Edfu And Kom Ombo Temples

Location: Edfu, The Temple of Horus at Edfu, Temple of Kom Ombo

Accommodation: Nile cruise ship

You will wake up on the voices of the horsemen who are waiting to take you to the Temple of Horus in Edfu. This temple is the most intact temple in Egypt and was built during the Greco-Roman period. After visiting the temple, you will sail up to Kom Ombo to visit the twin Temple of Sobek, the Crocodile god, and Horus, the Falcon god. Then proceed to the Crocodile Museum in the vicinity of the temple. After the tour, the ship will sail up to Aswan where it moors for the next two days.

Day 8 : Aswan Tour

Location: Aswan, Philae Temple, Aswan High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk

Accommodation: Nile cruise ship

Welcome to the lovely City of Aswan. Your tour includes the largest engineering project in the 1960s, the High Dam, as well as the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk, and the amazing Temple of Philae. Back on board for lunch. Late afternoon, you will take a traditional sailboat called Fellucca for a ride around Elephantine Island. Free evening in Aswan.

Today, the ship moors in Aswan, so you are able to drive to Abu Simbel’s magnificent temples (optional trip) or explore the City of Aswan on your own.

Day 10 : Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu

The ship set sail back to Kom Ombo, stopping to visit Kom Ombo Temple (new arrival guests). You’re free onboard and enjoy cruising.
The ship sails from Kom Ombo down to Edfu, stopping there for new guests to visit the Temple of Edfu. Then sails down to Luxor via the Lock of Esna.

Day 11 : Karnak And Luxor Temples

Today, you are visiting the largest temple in the world, the Temple of Karnak, then proceed to the majestic Temple of Luxor. Both were dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Overnight is in Luxor.
