This adventurous eight-day tour begins and ends in Athens - covering some of Greece's most picturesque sights. The Greece tour starts with a comprehensive guided tour of Athens featuring historical landmarks and monuments such as the Acropolis and its Parthenon - a former temple dedicated to the goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron - and many more. Next, we head to the volcanic island of Milos, with its glistening waters and pristine beaches. From Milos, we make our way to the island of Santorini - renowned for its rows of whitewashed houses and blue-capped churches built into the cliffside.

Mode of Transport

A/C car/minibus & ferry. Notes: The itinerary above is subject to change based on the Greek island ferry schedules. While it does not happen often, sometimes ferry schedules are changed without notice and ferries may also be cancelled completely due to poor weather conditions. In this event the program may need to be adjusted and you may end up spending more or less time in one location than originally planned. This is the nature of travel between the islands and we thank you for your patience and understanding in the rare event of this occurring.

Unlike many of the Greek islands, Santorini is an all year round destination, and remains a very attractive and interesting place to visit whatever time of year it may be. However, some hotels, shops, restaurants and attractions do close during the winter months (November to March). During this time we may use boutique style guesthouses located closer to the centre of Fira so that you are as close as possible to what is still open.

• Transfer as credit to Future Tours

  Encounters Travel allows you to transfer existing payments to a future tour to avoid cancellation fees if you can't travel and inform encounters travel, 60 days before departure.

• Low Deposit

  Encounters Travel requires a minimum deposit of 150 GBP per person or the full booking value, whichever is less, with the final balance not due until 60 days before departure.

• Cancellation Policy

  We don't charge a cancellation fee, here is a summary of encounters travel charges.

  Up to 61 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of deposit.

  At 60 days before tour starts: Forfeit 35% of booking price.

  At 41 days before tour starts: Forfeit 70% of booking price.

  At 27 days before tour starts: Forfeit 90% of booking price.

  At 14 days before tour starts: Forfeit 100% of booking price.
