This tour is a fantastic introduction to Ethiopia, taking you through spectacular mountain landscapes and giving you glimpses into Ethiopia's rich history and distinctive local culture. Most of the tour takes place in Tigray, the northernmost region of Ethiopia, where Christianity entered Ethiopia in the 4th century. Tigray is also the centre of Ethiopia's road cycling culture and you will have chance to ride on some of the best roads in the country. You also get the opportunity to visit some of Ethiopia's famous churches dating back more than 1500 years, the capital of the ancient Axumite empire and the unique rock-hewn churches of Lalibela.
