Welcome to your tour with Europamundo!Today, we’ll journey to the heart of France, passing through the Bourgogne region, renowned for its picturesque vineyards and world-class wines. Our first stop will be Beaune, a charming town in the center of Burgundy known for its flower-filled streets, hospice, and wine museum. After some free time for lunch and a walk, we’ll continue to Lyon, the former capital of Roman Gaul, located on the banks of the Rhône River. Lyon´s historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We’ll take a cable car up to Notre-Dame de Fourvière, where we can enjoy a stunning view of the city. You’ll have some free time to explore at your leisure.Note: In some cases, part of the group will stay in Chambéry, a city near Lyon. In these instances, we’ll travel to Chambéry in the evening for an overnight stay. In the morning, you’ll have time to visit this medieval-style city, the capital de la Saboya, known for its beautiful historic center and impressive castle.
Day 2 : Lyon, Geneva, Chillon Castle, Gruyeres, Leysin

Today, we’ll travel to Switzerland. Upon arrival in Geneva, we’ll pass by the Palace of Nations (the European headquarters of the United Nations) and explore the pretty English Garden with its flower clock and admire the Jet d’Eau, the tallest fountain in Europe. Passing through vineyard landscapes, we’ll reach Chillon Castle, built on the waters of Lake Geneva. Admission is included to this fantastic medieval castle. Afterward, we’ll visit the picturesque walled village of Gruyeres, known worldwide for its cheese. Nearby, there are several major Swiss chocolate factories (including NESTLE). We’ll visit the Cailler Chocolate Factory, with a tasting included! We’ll continue traveling on smaller roads through bucolic mountain landscapes and picturesque wooden villages, arriving in Leysin, a beautiful holiday village. Dinner will be included.Note: At times, accommodation may be arranged in another Swiss town nestled in the heart of the Alps, often Martigny.
Day 3 : Leysin, Interlaken, Aareschlucht, Chiasso

We’ll experience stunning mountain scenery today, so be sure to pack your winter clothes. We’ll ascend to Glacier 3000 by cable car ride, one of the most spectacular spots in Switzerland featuring ice and snow year-round, and where you can walk on the suspended bridge between two mountain peaks, explore the Ice Cathedral, or enjoy the Fun Park. We’ll stop in Interlaken for lunch before traveling to the Aare Gorge. Next, we’ll take the Susten Pass, one of the most beautiful roads in Switzerland between glaciers that will lead us to the Italian-speaking part of the country. We’ll stay overnight in Chiasso, a Swiss town on the border with Italy.Note: Occasionally, due to weather conditions such as rain or strong winds, the cable car to Glacier 3000 may not operate. Additionally, the Susten Pass Road is typically closed from mid-October until the end of May. In such cases, the journey will follow alternative routes.
Day 4 : Chiasso, Lugano, Burglen, Lucerne, Zurich

We’ll visit Lugano, the cosmopolitan capital of Italian Switzerland with its beautiful lake, where we’ll have time to stroll. Continuing along the highway, we’ll cross the Gotthard Road Tunnel and stop in Bürglen, the charming village where William Tell was born. We’ll see the 16th-century chapel adorned with paintings illustrating his life. If you wish, you can also visit the William Tell Museum. In the neighboring city of Altdorf, we’ll find more traces of his history. Our journey will then take us to Lucerne, where we’ll have free time to explore this beautiful city by its namesake lake. Finally, we’ll depart for Zurich, arriving at the end of the day.
Day 5 : Zurich, Basel, Colmar, Riquewihr, Ribeauville, Strasbourg

We’ll depart from Zurich and travel to Basel, a key city on the banks of the Rhine at the intersection of Germany and France. Here, you’ll have the chance to explore the old town, with its standout Town Hall Square and the impressive Cathedral that overlooks the Rhine River. Next, we’ll continue to Alsace, a French region historically contested between France and Germany. Alsace preserves its own German dialect, Alsatian, and features architecture and traditions with strong Germanic roots. We’ll stop in Colmar, a city renowned for its unique architecture, with colorful wooden houses and charming canals. Colmar is also famous for its white wine and excellent cuisine. You’ll have time for lunch and a leisurely walk through the city. In the afternoon, we’ll visit two of Alsace’s most beautiful villages: Riquewihr, a medieval town with cobblestone streets and colorful houses that look like they’re straight out of a fairy tale—and were, in fact, the inspiration for scenes in Beauty and the Beast—and Ribeauville, known for its historic center and castle ruins that overlook the town. We’ll arrive in Strasbourg in the evening. We suggest taking a walk through the Cathedral and Petite France areas, both filled with charming spots and cozy restaurants.
Day 6 : Strasbourg, Fribourg, Triberg, Gengenbach, Baden Baden

We’ll start our day in Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace and home to the European Parliament. The city’s historic center is a true gem, with its charming medieval streets, a stunning Gothic cathedral, and picturesque canals lined with flowers. We’ll include a boat trip through the canals of Petite France to fully appreciate this beautiful area. Afterward, we’ll cross into Germany, passing through the scenic mountain landscapes and towns of the Black Forest. In Freiburg, you’ll have time for lunch and a walk through this lively university city, known for its medieval center and impressive cathedral. We’ll then continue through the Black Forest to Triberg, one of the most picturesque towns in the region, famous for its cuckoo clocks. We’ll include admission to the Triberg Waterfalls, Germany’s highest waterfalls, which you’ll reach via a lovely walking path. Next, we’ll visit Gengenbach, a charming town with a beautiful central square, before heading to Baden-Baden for the night. Day 7 : Baden Baden, Speyer, Heidelberg, Frankfurt

We’ll then make our way to Heidelberg, where a cable car will take us up to the impressive castle, offering breathtaking views over the city (tickets included). Day 8 : Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Reims, Paris

Some of its highlights include the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the city’s fortifications, the Grand Ducal Palace, and the Notre-Dame Cathedral.
