Itinerary
Day 1 : Bon Dia, Barcelona!
Location: Barcelona
Kick start your Spain and Portugal Group Tour in the bustling Barcelona! Meet your other follow travellers at the hostel in the evening. Trek up to the Bunkers for an unbeatable view of the sunset, which you could enjoy with a beer or empanada which are often being sold there! Venture down Las Ramblas or to the Gothic Quarter to see the most lively parts!
Day 2 : Your full day in the Catalan Capital!
Location: Barcelona
Get ready to explore! We'll visit the Sagrada Familia, with Skip the Line tickets included and the afternoon yours to spend how you please! You could seek out Gaudi's many buildings, take the cable cars up to Montjuic Castle, or simply stroll through the parks.
Day 3 : Next, the City of Orange Trees!
Location: Seville
Next, Seville - the city of Orange trees! Here you'll have plenty of free time to explore all the eccentric buildings, immaculate patios and tapas bars as you like! For your included activity, we'll head over to the home of Flamenco and visit the Triana neighbourhood to catch an authetic show.
Day 4 : Your final day in Seville
Location: Seville
Be sure to get tickets into the Royal Alcazar Palace and the Plaza de Espana on your last day - these are some of the most unique and interesting buildings Spain has to offer! Relax with a glass of orange wine and tapas down Alameda de Hercules street. Make sure you leave enough time to check out the spectacular Catedral de Sevilla - the largest gothic church in the world!
Day 5 : Not too far to Faro
Location: Faro
From the city of Seville to the soft sand and sunsoaked coast of the Algarve. Here, you'll have time to relax on the beach and wonder through the Old Town, then stop for a drink at the bustling Irish Bar!
Day 6 : Enjoy a boat trip in Faro
Location: Faro
The included activity in Faro is a boat trip to the small quiet islands surrounding Faro. Be sure to look out for the flamingos along the way! The rest of the evening is yours to spend it how you wish.
Day 7 : On to Lisbon!
Location: Lisbon
From Faro, we continue to Lisbon, one of the oldest capital cities in Europe. There is plenty to do in this city, even hopping on the number 28 tram is an experience in itself! You'll have your first day free to explore everything the city has to offer.
Day 8 : HIPPO Trip!
Location: Lisbon
Then, the next day is the group activity...a Hippo tour - we'll say no more for now. This wraps up around mid-afternoon, and the rest of the time in Lisbon is yours.
Day 9 : Your final stop.
Location: Porto
Your final stop- Porto. This is arguably one of the most underrated cities in Portugal. This hillside town offers delicious seafood, authentic Port wine, and lots and lots of steps.
Day 10 : Explore Porto
Location: Porto
The first day is yours to explore, you can ride the cable car and soak up the gorgeous views, or just stoll up and down the markets near Luis I Bridge, eating Pasteis de Nata on the go. End the evening with a boogie in any one of the bars in downtown Porto - take it steady as the last day of the tour approaches!
Day 11 : Finish off with some port in Porto!
Location: Porto
Wake up the next morning feeling fresh and head off for some wine tasting (not included). Although the grapes are picked and squashed outside of Porto, the wine is then brought to Porto to cure for many months, and turn into Port. The majority of these wineries offer guided tours with tasting at the end. Port wine is an acquired taste, but its a must-do! The group tour ends with the last supper (all included) before going your separate ways the next day.
