Tanzania Serena Safari Lodges

You will be picked up by our staff from Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha Serena Hotel. Our group guide will answer all your other queries regarding your upcoming safari and provide you with a short briefing as well.

After your breakfast at Arusha Serena Hotel, we will pick you up and proceed to Tarangire National park then drive you to Lake Manyara Serena Hotel for dinner and overnight,One of the largest national park in Tanzania located in Manyara region, this place is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it.

The concentrations of game here is not nearly as high as in surrounding parks, but there are a number of unique species that give reason enough to safari here. The park's main attraction are Lake Manyara's famous tree climbing lions - why these lions habitually climb trees is still up for debate, but viewing a pride relaxing in an acacia tree is a remarkable sight! The park is also famous for its elephant and huge number of baboons, and its varied landscape supports an impressive range of other game including wildebeest, buffalo, hippo, flamingo, zebra, warthog, waterbuck, giraffe, dik-dik and impala

After breakfast, we will drive to Ngorongoro for the crater tour with picnic descent to the crater floor for the day tour. Some 20,000 mammals live in the area including about 20 black rhinoceros, making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see these amazing creatures. The crater floor also has one of the highest carnivore densities in the world. Lions, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals are commonly seen, while leopards, servals and bat-eared foxes may be seen with some luck.

You will descend with your guide from the Ngorongoro highlands, the vastness of the Serengeti plains opens up before you and you get a real appreciation of the scale of this iconic wilderness.

You will depart the Lodge at first light with a picnic breakfast for a big day in search of the biggest herds of the great migrations. Alternatively, as usually you may choose to enjoy a more leisurely breakfast at the camp instead of a picnic breakfast and depart with picnic lunches for a full day of game drives exploring different areas of the central serengeti. Areas that will be visited are the Retima Hippo pool, maasai and sametu kopjes and plains as well as Moru and Simba kopjes.

Today you will have an early breakfast at the camp and then leave for Seronera Airstrip enjoying game viewing enroute. A bush plane will fly you to Arusha. Once back in Arusha you will stop for lunch and optional shopping. You will then be driven to Arusha Serena Hotel, Resort & Spa(or equivalent) for a day room where you can rest and clean up before an early dinner. After dinner, you will be driven to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home.
