This trek offers the best outlook at the Himalayan range including world highest peak Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and many more. Gokyo lake trek is a fairly popular trek after Everest Base camp and the view from Gokyo Ri is not comparable. From the top of Gokyo Ri you can see four of above 8000 m mountain as mentioned above. There is an alternative trek route which leads to Chola pass to Everest base camp. You may explore 5th lake and Cho Oyu base camp through the Ngozumpa glacier (the longest glacier in Nepal) to base camp and back for your hungry eye.

Day 1 : Ktm/Lukla Flight-Trek To Phakding
Location: Kathmandu, Phakding, Lukla

Morning flight to Lukla and start the trek through Sherpa village. The trail goes gradually flat and easy to Phakding. 8km/3hrs.
Day 2 : Phakding/Namche Bazaar
Location: Namche Bazar, Manjo

You are approaching the Himalaya. Viewing all mountain and pine forest and following the yak trail takes you to Namche Bazar. On the way you will have the first encounter of Mount Everest, Amadablam, Themserku and many more. 12km/5 hrs/3440m
Day 3 : Acclimatize Day At Namche Bazaar

Day 4 : Namche/Dole

Trek begins very easily first part then trail goes up hill to Mongla Danda which is on the top of the Hill. From you may see the 360 degree Mountain View. Descend 300m to Phortse Thanga from Mongla Danda and ascend 1 km to Dole through the Bush forest. 9km/5hrs
Day 5 : Dole/Machermo
Location: Machhermo

Facing with the dramatically rising peak through the old alpine and moss covered Rhododendron in the first part. Then you will arrive at Tonga, which is abandon house and path goes gradually up to Dole. You are walking steep up out of the forest to an increasingly barren hillside cover with tundra grass land. 4100m/5hrs
Day 6 : Machermo/Gokyo Lake
Location: Gokyo Lake

The ridge offers the shelter from the winds and goes through the rocky stone steps besides the small river. Along the way Cho Oyu (8201m) and much Himalayan range appears in front. Pass the first lake Lonponga Tsho, Taboche Tsho and Dudh Pokhari arrive in Gokyo lake. 4700m/5hrs
Day 7 : Gokyo Ri/Machermo
Location: Gokyo Ri
Accommodation: Lodge

Hike up to Gokyo Ri 5410m takes about 2.5hrs. This is the most remarkable viewpoint in Khumbu. The view offer Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and many more Mountain range. Trek back to Machermo.
Day 8 : Machermo/Khumjung
Location: Khumjung Village
Accommodation: Lodge

Hiked down from Machhermo to Dole as the descent is more easy and faster and easily you can do it. Khumjung is another hidden valley in the Everest region. Visit the Monastery and Hillary School in the morning.
Day 9 : Khumjung/Manjo
Location: Manjo

After having breakfast, We trek down to Namche Bazaar where we stop for Lunch and slowly descend to Manjo. It is also beautiful Sherpa village with Monastery.
Day 10 : Manjo/Lukla
Location: Tenzing-Hillary Airport

After the breakfast, Gradually downhill walk through the Sherpa village and few times cross the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi and reach Lukla about 2 PM
Day 11 : Lukla/Kathamndu

Morning fly to Kathmandu. Arrival and transfer to designated hotel.

Gokyo Lake Trek is a full Tea house trek in the Khumbu region. There are different categories of lodges and hotels. It caters from Luxury to bag packers lodges. We are having the standard lodge accommodation while on the Gokyo Lake Trek.
