This week-long tour of Greece will show you some of the most fascinating cities and extraordinary sites in Southern Europe! Begin your journey in Athens, where you will discover the Temple of Olympian Zeus and visit the Acropolis. Then, make a short stop at the Corinth Canal and discover the breathtaking scenery en route to Olympia, where you will visit the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus and see the Archaeological Museum. Travel along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. Discover the Museum of Delphi and bask in the views of Central Greece before you continue your journey to Kalambaka, spanning through the northwestern part of the Thessaly Plains. Then, explore Meteora, a World Heritage Site with hilltop monasteries and a wide collection of Byzantine art. Travel back to Athens and enjoy your leisure time before you end a fascinating journey of Greece!

Day 1: Athens Arriva
Arrive in Athens and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at your own leisure or join an optional tour at an extra charge, depending on your arrival time.
Overnight in Athens
Day 2: Athens (B/-/-)
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel for an Athens city tour. Depart for Panathinaiko Stadium, the cradle of the first Olympic Games took place in 1896 (short stop). Pass by the Prime Ministers Residence, ex-Royal Palace (guarded by colorful Evzones) and Zappeion (Conference & Exhibition Hall). Proceed, passing by the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrians Arc, St. Pauls Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemanns House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, National Library, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church and finally Acropolis (visit Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens). Option to include a visit to Acropolis Museum at an extra charge. Return to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at your own leisure.

Day 3: Athens – Epidaurus – Mycenae – Olympia (B/-/D)
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel for a 4‐day Classical Greece tour. Depart for the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theater, world-famous for its outstanding acoustics. Proceed to Nafplion (short stop) and through the plain of Argos arrive to Mycenae. Visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon depart for Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, through the cities of Tripoli and Megalopolis (short stop).

Day 4: Olympia – Delphi (B/-/D)
After breakfast, visit the archaeological site with the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Depart via Patras to Rion and cross the Corinthian Bay by the new bridge to Antirion. Pass by the city of Nafpaktos and from there on, along the coastal road to Delphi, known in ancient times as the navel of the world. In the afternoon, visit the picturesque mountain village of Arachova.

Day 5: Delphi – Kalambaka (B/-/D)
After breakfast, visit the archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the Meteora Monasteries, via Central Greece (short stop by Lamia).

Day 6: Kalambaka – Athens (B/-/-)
After breakfast, leave for nearby Meteora to visit the Byzantine Monasteries. Return to Athens passing the heroic monument of Leonidas, King of Sparta at Thermopylae.

Breakfast at your hotel. The whole day will be at your own leisure or join an optional tour in advance at an extra charge.

If I need one, who is responsible to obtain my visa?
You are responsible for obtaining the proper travel documents for the destinations on your itinerary, including having a passport that is valid for at least 6 months before the date of departure and a visa if required. What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
