Day 1: Wed Johannesburg – Victoria Falls (-/-/D)

Welcome to South Africa! Upon arrival in Johannesburg, you will connect to your flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival at Victoria Falls, guests will be met by our representative and transferred to the lodge. In the afternoon, embark on a relaxing sunset cruise that departs from the lodge. Guests will be transferred from the hotel to the mighty Zambezi River. The Zambezi River cruise is an incredible way to relax and see the beauty of the river. Guests may have the opportunity to see a variety of games; including hippo, crocodile, elephants, and sometimes even rhino in their home environment, and discover the many different species of bird. Here you will find great photo opportunities against spectacular African sunsets. Tonight, dinner will be served at the hotel.

Overnight in Victoria Falls

Day 2: Thu Victoria Falls (B/-/D)

After breakfast, the group will be collected and transferred to Victoria Falls for a guided tour of the falls. On the opposite cliff, facing the falls, you can head on the well-marked and paved walk through the rainforests. Every so often the path will open into a clear view of the falls. Further along this path, you will discover Knife Edge Bridge which affords an impressive panorama depending on the time of year. Although less can be seen for the width of the Falls during the wet season, the intense spray will provide travelers with welcome relief from the heat — but dont carry anything you dont want to get wet! The rest of the afternoon will be at your leisure to relax at the lodge. Later this evening, the group will have dinner at the lodge.

Overnight in Victoria Falls

Day 3: Fri Victoria Falls — Johannesburg (B/-/-)

In the morning you will travel by road to the Victoria Falls Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Check-in at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, or perhaps book the following optional city tour.

Overnight in Johannesburg

Day 4: Sat Johannesburg – Hazyview (B/-/D)

Today you will head on an orientation tour of Soweto. SOWETO, an acronym for Southwestern Township, is home to over 2 million people, who, despite living in crowded and chaotic conditions, have a tangible sense of community — one which ironically, the ordered, walled, northern suburbs lack. Drive past the Hector Pieterson Museum and Mandela House before leaving the commercial hub to travel into the Mpumalanga region. Continue through Graskop to Hazyview, just outside Kruger National Park. Dinner will be served at your hotel in the evening.

Overnight in Hazyview

Day 5: Sun Kruger National Park (B/-/D)

The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. Spend your day game viewing from your coach in this unspoilt 20,000 square kilometer park. You may be lucky and spot Africas “Big Five”. The exhilarating feeling of seeing wildlife from a close range is a truly unforgettable experience! Dinner will be served at the hotel in the evening.

Overnight in Hazyview

Day 6: Mon Hazyview – Johannesburg – Cape Town – Stellenbosch (B/-/-)

This morning you will travel back to Johannesburg and board your flight from OR Tambo International Airport to Cape Town. Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Stellenbosch. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight in Stellenbosch

Day 7: Tue Stellenbosch (B/-/-)

Spend your day at leisure or perhaps book the following optional Winelands tour.

Overnight in Stellenbosch

Day 8: Wed Stellenbosch – Cape Town (B/-/-)

After breakfast drive back to Cape Town where you will head on a half-day orientation tour of the city. You will discover iconic buildings, snatches of history, and experience the uniqueness of this city. Drive past the countrys oldest building, the Castle, and a short distance away you will find the Company Gardens — both historically fascinating and well conserved. The drive will take you past the Parliament Buildings, City Hall, and the Slave Lodge; you will sense the depth of history via their distinctive architecture. Colonial will change to colorful as you move up the cobblestoned hills to the Malay Quarter, and marvel over the ice-cream colors of the quaint Bo-Kaap homes. Return to the hotel, or, if the weather is suitable, you may participate in one of the optional tours below.

Overnight in Cape Town

Day 9: Thu Cape Town (B/-/D)

Enjoy your day at leisure or perhaps take the following optional full-day Peninsula Tour. In the evening, get ready for your farewell dinner at the Gold Restaurant with an interactive drumming activity.

Overnight in Cape Town

Day 10: Fri Cape Town – Usa/Canada (B/-/-)

Spend your morning at leisure. In the afternoon you will be transferred back to Cape Town International Airport for your overnight flight home.

The tour organized by Indus Travels was flawless. Hotels, tours, and transportation all impressed me. We had a very relaxing time knowing what was happening at each stage. The scenery and activities were fantastic and did not disappoint. The highlight of the trip was definitely Galapagos Islands.

Booked Mystical Egypt tour with them visiting Cairo and a 03 Nights Cruise from Luxor to Aswan in May. All services were perfect since the time we arrived at the airport, we were met by a hospitable Indus Representative who helped us with the purchase of local SIM and currency exchange. He was always there in time to assist for transfers. The Amwaj Cruise which we took from Luxor to Aswan was a Gem. We had great guides and all sightseeing worked like a clockwork. We enjoyed visiting Karnak Temples, Temples of Edfu, Kom Ombo and the boat ride to see Phillae Temple. Evening entertainment on cruise were great and engaging. In Cairo and Aswan, we had ample leisure time to explore on own, the Pyramids were impressive and visiting Khan e Khalili was fun. Overall and impressive and enjoyable tour, Thanks to Indus Travels!

Indus Travel runs a highly professional organization. From customer service to brochures, bookings, tour guides, etc. and the consideration for their customers is superb. This was the first time I had travelled with Indus Travels. We took the Taste of Portugal Tour. Group numbers are small, accommodation comfortable and food excellent. The expert guide who accompanied us was outstanding - passionate, informative, engaging, and entertaining. This company is obviously at the heart of the itinerary planning, and attention to detail is second to none. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting a fun, relaxed, educational vacation with fine food - they will deliver! We will never forget this trip and we are already planning for another one to Wonders of Italy, Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.

We were looking for a customized, small group tour. We took a chance on Indus without knowing much about the company. We just returned from our trip to Greece and are more than highly please and satisfied with our experience. They planned an amazing itinerary, booked amazing hotels, hired knowledgeable tour guides and arranged high quality transportation services. Everyone went above and beyond to please us. We are already planning a trip for next year (2024) and will definitely use Indus to do so.

07-Mar-2024

My wife and I along with three friends signed up the tour to Mexico from Indus Travel. The total 12-day Maya Culture trip really gave us opportunities to learn Mexico indigenous cultures thoroughly. We have seen a lot of ruins and pyramids, each of them has different representations and can tell the history of what was happening atthat time. We also had chances to visit the indigenous families toexperence the real Mexican people's life inthe rural area. The views of volcanoes, villages and canyons are also unforgettable. This is a small group with total 7 tourists, our driver/tour guide is a very experienced guide, he explained the history in sequence of events in and out. Most of all with 2500km driving he made us fell safe with his skills. All in all, this trip worths a 5+ star. I was so surprised that Indus Travel assigned a tour coordinator dedicated to our group, Kathlene helped a lot to make the arrangement for the whole trip and made us worry free.

My partner and I planned a trip to Greece with a small group. Indus and their representatives went above and beyond to curate an amazing trip that felt very exclusive. We just returned a couple of weeks ago and are already planning another trip.

13-Nov-2023

I booked a trip with Indus to South Africa and had a fabulous time! It was easy to book the trip online and any questions I had were answered very quickly by Sabine. The hotels we stayed at were very nice and in good locations. Our tours were well organized and our safari in Kruger National park was definitely a highlight. A few mornings had a bright and early start, but this allowed us to accomplish quite a lot in a day. The hotel restaurants had decent food, which was convenient if we had a longer day and didn't want to go out to eat. Overall, I was very happy with the trip and I felt the price for my tour was excellent value. I would definitely use Indus again!

04-Jan-2024

Exploring Bogota was fantastic - a lively city with so much to see. The Gold Museum was a highlight, taking us on a journey through centuries of history. We spent hours there, fascinated by the detailed exhibits showcasing the rich culture. After Bogota, we flew to St. Andres, a Caribbean paradise. Despite some rain during the 'rainy season,' the island's charm and our packed sightseeing schedule made every moment unforgettable. Activities like mangrove kayaking, snorkeling, and island hopping showcased St. Andres' natural beauty. WE even rescued a sick blue heron during our tour and transferred it to rescue services. The food was another standout. Local cuisine was not only delicious but also budget-friendly, offering a unique blend of flavors. I love seafood especially seviche, and I was trully impress by quality and diversity. But what really made our trip special was the people. Friendliness was everywhere, whether chatting with locals or getting tips on hidden gems. The genuine hospitality added an extra layer of joy to an already amazing journey. Bogota and St. Andres left a lasting impression, going beyond sightseeing to truly experience the heart and soul of these incredible destinations. Big thank you to Indus team, who put together this trip for me. I am looking forward to exploring other South American countries with Indus.

11-Jul-2023

Glimpse of Egypt Quick paced tour taken after Egypt opened back up to tourists, particularly Americans. Went in November and weather was beautiful. Decent hotels and overnight Nile cruise. You will see a lot on this tour and be aware there are some early wake ups. Lots of walking but doable if you're in decent shape. Overall a fun tour with all the sites you have only seen in books!
