If you are looking for an ideal combination of nature, culture, and exciting urban life, then this tour is for you! Your journey will begin as you enter the gateway of fjords, Bergen in the Kingdom of Norway. Pass through the most emblematic places and experience food tasting in the fish market. You will, then, embark on a journey to enjoy the views of Sognefjord, the King of Fjords, and its glaciers. Your sightseeing will continue as you experience a cruise and train ride from Balestrand to Oslo which offers so many viewpoints from traveling multiple times between the mountain and the fjord. Upon arrival, you will explore the vibrant city of Oslo, including Frogner Park, the museum of Viking ships, the Royal Palace, City Hall, and Akershus Fortress. Your trip will continue as you experience a high-speed train to Stockholm, a city built upon 14 islands and is referred to as “Beauty on Water”. If your time permits, you can still enjoy some last-minute shopping and café or bar hopping before your tour of Norway and Sweden comes to an end!

Welcome to The Kingdom of Norway – a country with the most beautiful fjords on Earth! Arrive in Bergen and transfer to the hotel on your own. No transfers from the airport have been included, however, we can offer these at an additional cost. Transfer by shuttle bus can also be pre-booked. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Bergen (B/-/-)
Today, after breakfast, discover Bergen – the world heritage city. Bergen is the Gateway to the Fjords of Norway. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, the Bergen region has the ideal combination of nature, culture, and exciting urban life all year around. At 10:00 AM, meet your local guide at the reception of your hotel and enjoy a walking tour of the city of Bergen. Pass through the most emblematic places such as the Hanseatic Bryggen, with the church of Mary, the Hakon fortress and the famous fish market. You can visit the Fløibanen Funicular, which will take you to the top of Mountain Fløyen, for an overall view of the city.

Day 4: Bergen – Balestrand (By Cruise) (B/-/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a morning walk to Bergen port where you will embark on a cruise to Balestrand at 8:00 AM (schedule subject to change). Upon arrival in Balestrand at 11:55 AM (schedule subject to change), you will have a short walk from the port to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy the views of Sognefjord, the King of Fjords. Dinner time at the hotel will be advised by your tour escort.

After breakfast, explore the region on your own or opt for a pre-booked excursion to Fjærland. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 6: Balestrand – Flam – Myrdal – Oslo (By Cruise & Train) (B/-/-)
The continuation of your journey on the Sognefjord today starts with a cruise. Sognefjord – the King of Norway and the longest fjord in Norway. The initial part of the fjord, called Aurlandsfjord, is a 17-kilometer arm of the worlds second-longest fjord, the Sognefjord (204 km). It is one of the most picturesque fjords in the world. Arrive in Flåm, where you will have some free time to discover this beautiful village. Departure to Myrdal by train. Myrdal station is a mountain railway station and junction, located about 13 km from the village of Flåm. Board the famous Flåmsbana – one of the steepest train lines in the world. The train journey runs through fantastic nature, past the Rallar road, steep mountains, breath-taking waterfalls and no less than 20 tunnels. It offers so many viewpoints that many feel like traveling multiple times between the mountain and the fjord. Upon arrival in Myrdal connect to the high-speed train to Oslo. Arrive in Oslo late in the evening.

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your local guide at the hotel reception and depart for a 3-hour sightseeing of this vibrant capital city starting at 11:00 AM. Guided tour of the city including the Frogner Park with all sculptural Vigeland, the Royal Palace, City Hall, and Akershus Fortress.

Day 8: Oslo – Stockholm (By Train) (B/-/-)
After breakfast at the hotel, make your own way to Oslo railway station to board a high-speed train to Stockholm. Upon arrival in Stockholm, you might consider walking to your hotel or hiring a taxi on your own. Stockholm is surrounded by almost 25,000 small islands. The rest of your day will be at leisure: walk along the streets and explore the city of the royal family, and the main Drottninggatan – Queen Street, with many shops, bars, and cafes.

Day 9: Stockholm (B/-/-)
Today after breakfast, you will be transferred to the port from your hotel and embark on a Royal Canal cruise which will allow you to explore Stockholm's waterways and admire some of the city's most iconic landmarks. Stockholm is generally referred to as Beauty on Water, or Venice of the North, which is understandable, as the city is built upon 14 islands. It is surrounded by Lake Mälaren, and by the Baltic Sea. The city's grand public buildings, palaces, rich cultural history and museums reveal its 700-year-old history beautifully. The afternoon is for leisure, we recommend visiting the Gamla Stan (Old town), where you will be charmed by cobblestone streets, crooked but beautifully preserved buildings & The Royal Palace. Return to the hotel on your own.

Day 10: Stockholm – Usa/Canada (B/-/-)
After breakfast, depending on your flight details, you can still enjoy some last-minute shopping at Swedish design-ware shops, walk along the streets, admire gothic churches, and explore the city with many shops, bars, and cafes. Make your own way to Stockholm Airport for your return flight home. No transfers to the airport have been included, however, we can offer these at an additional cost.

What happens if I need to change my holiday date once I’ve booked?
Changes to an existing reservation up to the Final Payment Date, whatever the cause, will incur a $100 per person amendment fee, potential loss of any supplier fees (such as non-refundable event tickets, park permits, and sea cruise reservations) plus any costs for replacement services. On/ after the Final Payment Date, the $100 change fee is no longer valid, instead cancellations terms apply.
