This pristine high altitude trail is the perfect opportunity to get into nature and see abandoned Inca sites. Day 1 : Arrival To Cusco
Location: Cusco

Arrive to Cuzco anytime and please make your own way to your accommodation. Enjoy the rest of the day to walk around town and make last minute preparations for your big trip ahead. Attend your mandatory pre-departure briefing later that evening, then get a good night’s sleep.
*Note: You will have a guide during the trek and on the Machu Picchu tour. However, during your bus and train transfers you will not be accompanied by a guide.
Day 2 : Cuzco: Trek To Soraypampa Camp
Location: SORAYPAMPA
Accommodation: Camp

We depart at 4:30 am to 5:00 am from Cusco, passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo, arriving in Mollepata (2900 meters above sea level) at approximately 7:30 AM where we will have our breakfast (this meal is not included). Afterward, we will begin our excursion. First, we will take transportation to Challacancha (1 hour and 30 minutes) (3380 meters above sea level), and from there, our hike will start. It will take approximately 4 hours, passing through some villages and the Inka Canal, eventually reaching Soraypamapa (3900 meters above sea level) by 1:30 pm. There, we will have our first lunch and set up our first camp. After lunch, we can visit the beautiful Humantay Lake (4200 meters above sea level), which is a 1-hour and 30-minute hike uphill. We'll have breathtaking views of the mountain, and in the evening, we will have our dinner before resting.
Day 3 : Trek From Soraypampa To Challhuay
Location: Chaullay
Accommodation: Camp

At 7:00 am, we will prepare to enjoy a nutritious breakfast and then continue with our hike. We start from Soraypampa to the highest point, Abra Salkantay (5 to 6 hours) (4650 meters above sea level), passing through Salkantaypampa and Soyrococha, where we will appreciate a small lagoon. Then, we will begin the descent to Huayracmachay (4 hours) (3800 meters above sea level), where we will have our lunch. Afterward, we will continue descending to Chaullay (3 hours) (2900 meters above sea level), which will be our second campsite.
Day 4 : Trek From Chaullay To La Playa Sahuayaco & Transfer To Santa Teresa Town
Location: Sahuayaco

Continuing our journey after a refreshing breakfast, we will begin our hike, admiring a variety of coca crops, considered the sacred leaf of our ancestors, which is currently cultivated in tropical areas. This final stretch will be a descent to La Playa (5 hours) (1900 meters above sea level), where we will have our lunch. From there, we will head to Santa Teresa on a bus, where we will spend the night. Optionally, you can visit the Cocalmayo hot springs (extra cost).
Day 5 : Trek To Hydroelectric Station & Aguas Calientes
Location: Central Hidroelectrica Machu Picchu

Today will begin at 7:00 am with a typical breakfast in Santa Teresa, followed by the opportunity to experience the zip line (This activity is additional and optional). This day is characterized by its pleasant tropical climate. After the adventure activity, our transportation will take us from Santa Teresa to the Hidroeléctrica station. For those who do not participate in the zip line, there will be a hike through the Vilcanota valley and along the river, lasting approximately 3 hours, until reaching the Hidroeléctrica station, which also serves as a checkpoint.
Here, we will have lunch with the entire group.
Finally, we will conclude the last stretch of the hike, which is approximately 10 km, in the town of Aguas Calientes. There, we will immediately head to our accommodation to rest and spend the night in comfortable beds. In the evening, we will share a farewell dinner with the guide, during which he will inform you about the plans for the following day.
*Optional bus transfer from Santa Teresa to the Hydroelectric Station is available for an extra cost.
*Optional train transfer from Hydroelectric Station to Aguas Calientes is available for an extra cost.
Day 6 : Explore Machu Picchu & Return To Cuzco
Location: Machu Picchu
Meals Included: Breakfast
We will catch one of the first buses (05:30 am) to Machu Picchu (25-minute ride) in order to appreciate the magnificent city in the early morning light as the mist dissipates. A walking tour (approximately 2 hours) is given by your guide and after this you can explore the mysterious city on your own. If you still have energy you can also climb the optional Huayna Picchu Peak inside the archaeological site (to be booked in advance at an extra cost). Take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. Return by train to Ollantaytambo and take a bus to Cuzco. You will be dropped off late in the day at the Plaza San Francisco. Upon arrival you will need to make your own way to your accommodation.
