Is it a common practice to give tips in Egypt? Due to the low salaries of many professionals in Egypt, many people depend on tips, or Baksheesh as it is called in Egypt, as a major part of their income. Therefore, tipping is considered customary in Egypt. – How much should I tip? – The amount depends on the situation. In a restaurant, it is good to give between 5 and 10% tip directly to the waiter even when there is service added to the bill. The service tax does not go to the waiter. For a small favor, like carrying luggage or parking a car, a few Egyptian pounds would be appropriate. Not more than five. Often in Egypt, you will find someone tending to the bathroom to keep it clean. Giving them one Egyptian pound is an appropriate amount. – Tipping your tour guide and your driver is completely optional but should be considered if you’re provided with great service. My wife, my adult son and I went for a 11-day trip through Look-at-Egypt and it was excellent. We expected an amazing trip and it exceeded our expectations. The Hilton in Cairo was very nice with a great location. Our guide Fayed was very knowledgeable and helpful and enjoyable to be with. The cruise on the Nile Premium cruise ship was a perfect way to experience the sites near Aswan and Luxor and those in between. Our guide while we were on the cruise was Hatim. He too was very knowledgeable and was always trying to consider our needs and abilities in setting the schedule. If you take a trip to Egypt, don’t leave out a few days on the Red Sea.at Marsa Allam resort was beautiful, and the staff went out of their way to help. For all that we got—someone to meet us at the airports, etc., great guides to amazing archeological sites, a cruise on the Nile, wonderful accommodations, excellent food with most of the meals included—the cost of the trip was incredibly low. If you are interested in a trip to Egypt, check out Look-at-Egypt-Tours. I don’t think you could get as good a trip for a better price.

I would highly recommend this tour with Look at Egypt tours Cairo, Nile cruise and Marsa Alam everything was great and the highlights for me was Marsa Alam and the hotel so I would like to share my experience at Marsa alam since it was the main purpose to travel to Egypt after our tour in Cairo and 3 nights Nile cruise we have been escorted to Marsa Alam by road the car and driver were very good and comfortable once we arrived at our hotel The Three Corners Fayrouz Plaza Beach Resort There is literally not a single bad thing I can say. The rooms were great and quiet - housekeeping is super friendly and recognizes you from the first day. Same with the staff in the restaurant and bar area. The food is plentiful and has a huge variety - there was always more that I wanted to try than what I could actually eat. Usually I am fed up with buffet food after a couple of days, but even after a week I still really enjoyed everything. If you want to go for a walk - you can walk alongside the beach past the other hotels, which is very nice and if you want to leave the hotel, there are many excursions to choose , we highly recommend this tour for all families and Look at Egypt tours thank you and keep the great work.
