Itinerary
Day 1 : Rome
"Bella, Bella” I hear you cry- well Rome is certainly beautiful but also romantic and inspirational. There really is a plethora of world famous sites around every corner! Where do we start with Rome? Its many historic buildings are just too many to mention but here are a few of our favourites to see on a coach tour and we are sure that they will be your favourites too!
Day 2 : Florence
Beautiful Florence, Italy’s city of art and cultural heartbeat, is situated on the banks of the River Arno. It offers many delights, from its famous museums, palaces, piazzas and churches to some of the most important sites in Florence, including the Cathedral and the library of San Lorenzo’s with its magnificent exhibition of Michelangelo's architectural genius.
Day 3 : Venice
The stunning city of Venice harbours a wealth of artistic and architectural wonders, hardly changing for 600 years. Although now very much a popular place for tourists, it still retains its romantic charm and appeal.
Day 4 : Verona
With famous star-crossed lovers, bridges arching over the glistening waters of the Adige River and engraved 'lovelock' padlocks clasping onto every railing in the city, Verona is one amorous place!
Just a short journey from the lovely Lake Garda, a trip to the compact city Verona would not be complete without visiting the iconic Juliet’s Balcony at La Casa di Giulietta; the House of Juliet, whose exterior is completely covered in hand-written notes from visitors asking for guidance in love. Oh if walls could talk…!
Spanning across the sea of terracotta rooftops, which plait their way around the many well-preserved Roman sites, don’t miss the famous amphitheatre. Built in the first century, it is still very much in use today and provides the venue for the famous summer opera festival each year.
Day 5 : San Gimignano
San Gimignano is a delightful village boasting stunning hilltop towers, evoking the true appearance of medieval Tuscany. There is plenty to see, from the fresco-covered Collegiate Church and the Civic Museum to the stunning views from atop the 177-foot Torre Grassa.
