Itinerary
Day 1 : Skipton
This delightful town, known as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is packed with plenty of character and charm. From the quaint cobbled alleyways bursting with quirky boutiques, to the striking medieval castle, Skipton offers a unique heritage and friendly atmosphere.
The Leeds–Liverpool canal winds its way through the town and the humpback bridges are perfect to spot the colourful canal boats scooting along, before retiring to a lovely tearoom for a well-deserved cuppa.
Day 2 : Southport
The traditional Victorian town of Southport is a must if you’re looking for a coach trip with the essence of a seaside holiday combined with fabulous attractions and stylish shopping.
With 22 miles of beautiful golden sandy beaches and the country’s oldest iron pier, the coastline attracts an array of wildlife. Its fantastic family attractions include Splash World Water Park, New Pleasureland, a traditional fun fair with thrilling rides, bowling, a cinema, crazy golf and the Lakeside miniature Railway.
Day 3 : Lake District
Discover the glorious Lake District in Cumbria, an area of outstanding natural beauty with stunning scenery, abundant wildlife, clear, shimmering lakes and rugged mountains.
England’s largest National Park, this beautiful region is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the country’s favourite places for enjoying the outdoors. Lose yourself in the breathtaking landscapes, with a panorama of striking mountains and crags, lush green farmland, rolling fells, thriving woodland, all home to native animals and plants, and idyllic market towns and picturesque villages. The Lake District is also home to England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike (3,206ft) and its largest lake, Lake Windermere.
