Itinerary
Day 1 : Fly Lukla 2,860M– Chutok, 2804M
Location: Tenzing Hillary Airport

Boarding an early morning flight from Kathmandu, we depart to Lukla. The 30-min flight itself is a thrill, flying in a small aircraft over the mighty pointed peaks and carefully planned landing in the runway. Once you settle your baggage, you will now start out to trek via Chutok la pass 2945m, the trails are embellished with lush rhododendron forests giving you a lovely walk to your final destination Chutok.
Day 2 : Chutok– Col Khari La– Pangkongma, 2950M

Waking up to a freshly prepared breakfast, you get ready for another day’s adventure. Today, you will march through slippery and tricky trails up to Kari La Pass 2730m. You trek amidst the woods of bamboo, chunky rhododendron forests and impressive sights of Dudh Koshi a high elevated river originating from Mt. Everest 8848m. You then reach Pangkongma, a village for trading and farming.
Day 3 : Pangkongma– Kurke, 3800M

On the 5th day, you bid farewell to the lovely Pangkoma village and move towards Kurke. We ascend towards Pangkongma La Pass 3,175m, famous as doorway to Hinku Valley. Fascinating sights of snow-glazed South face of Mera Peak(6064m) and Naulekh Peak(6362m) making you more impatient to have more up-close contact with the peaks. Walking past dense forests, hamlets, pretty teahouses, you reach Shibuche village. Crossing the Hinky Khola, you arrive at Kurke where we spend the night in a cosy teahouse.
Day 4 : Kurke– Thuli Kharka, 4200M

After a restful sleep, you leave Kurke after an appetizing breakfast and hike to ThuliKharka. Continuing your walk, you traverse the Surke La Pass 3,085m and ascend to Phokte village. Passing by ChalemKharka and Danda Kharka blessed with immense natural beauty, you come to ThuliKharka from here you can enjoy stunning perspectives of Mera North 6476m, Mera Central 6461m, and South face of Mera 6065m.
Day 5 : Thuli Kharka– Khothey, 3600M

Today’s walk mostly involves descending slopes so prepare to descend for almost 5 hours. Exiting ThuliKharka, you will see clear views of Mera South 6065m a great start for your day! Arriving down at Hinku valley, crossing the utterly majestic pine and rhododendron woods is surely a refreshing walk. You will spend call it a day at Khothey and rest to save energy for tomorrow’s hike.
Day 6 : Khothey– Thangnag, 4350M
Location: Mera Peak

Walking beside the tranquil HinkuKhola, you come across Gondishung 4350m, a summer settlement area of the herders. On your way you also come upon ancient LungsumGba Gompa, a 200-year-old gompa in the foot of huge rocks. You then arrive to Tangnag looking at astonishing panoramas of Kusum Kanguru 6,367m and Peak 43 6,700m.
Day 7 : Acclimatization Day In Thangnag

Today you will be acclimatizing to adjust your body to high altitude to avoid mountain sickness. You won't have to spend the day just sitting in your lodge, you can explore the riches around Thangnag. You will hike for about 3 hrs to Charpate Himal Glacier, from there you will see close views of Mera North 6476m. You then come back to your room and relax to get energized for the next day.
Day 8 : Tangnag– Khare, 4900M
Location: Mera Peak
Accommodation: Camp, Lodge, Homestay

Leaving Tangnag, you wander by pristine Sabal Tsho, a moraine-dammed lake, tucked behind the Sabal Glacier and climbing a peak around 5000m. Further, if desired, you can also visit HinkuNup Glacier taking you north towards Kangtaiga. Moving forward you come by Dig Kharka and eventually reach Khare.
Day 9 : Khare Reserve Day
Location: Mera Peak

You won’t rush to complete your summit; this can trigger the changes of altitude sickness. The 11th day is separated as a reserve day to avoid harsh Himalayan weather to amplify your scope of a successful ascending journey. You will also check your equipment and repair them if necessary, to make sure that they do not disappoint you when you use them. Give rest to your body and train your mind to face the challenges that can pop up.
Day 10 : Khare– Mera Base Camp 5350M- Mera- La, 5415M
Location: Mera Peak

Pumping your body with strength, you move out of Khare and head to the Base Camp. Escalating to Mera La Pass 5415m is challenging, needing you to put more effort. Route to the Base Camp involves steep ascending steps trails filled with rocks. You will have to use your climbing gears as you move forward to Mera La. Despite the journey being hard, your pain will be satiated with mesmerizing views of Mera Peak, Kusum Kanguru 6367m, Peak 43 6769m, Kangtega 6782m, Malanphulan 6573m.
Day 11 : Mera Base Camp– Mera High Camp, 5800M

You are escalating nearer to the summit but do not haste it, cautiously move from base camp to high camp, and look out for safer ways to climb up. Enjoying the majestic views of snow-beauties- Chamlang 7,290m, Makalu 8,475m and Baruntse 7,220m on the east, Everest 8,848m, Lhotse 8,501m, and Nuptse on the north. Sharpen your mountaineering techniques here at high camp as tomorrow is the day you will have to put them into solid action.
Day 12 : Summit Mera, 6461M– Descend Khare, 4900M

The day has come to finally ascend the highest trekking peak- Mount Mera- 6461m. Gather all your equipment and set yourself to be on top! Paving your way in the ice-topped giant, once on the crown of Mera, you will be stunned by the sights of Everest 8848m, Cho Oyu 8188m, Nuptse 7861m, Makalu 8481m, Lhotse 8516m, Chamlang 7319m, Baruntse, Ama Dablam 6812m, Kangchenjunga 8586m and more. Completing your expedition and having conquered your aim you descend down to high camp, head back to the base camp, and eventually land at Khare to spend the night.
Day 13 : Khare– Khothey, 3600M

Passing by Thangnag, you come to Khothey at the elevation of 3600m, trekking through charming Blue Himalayan pines and mystical views of Mera. Once you arrive at Khothey give your body rest and rejoice in the memories of scaling the summit.
Day 14 : Khothey– Thulikharka, 4200M
Location: Mera Peak

You will retract your way to ThuliKharka, walking past the settlements of Gondishung 4,180m, MosomKharka 3,691m, TashingOngma 3,530m, and TashingDingma 4,010m. Throughout your journey, you will tirelessly be able to see the Mera mountain.
Day 15 : Thuli Kharka– Chhetra La- Lukla, 2800M

Today, after breakfast, you hike tentatively for 2 hrs and arrive at Zatrwa La pass 4610m. Crossing the high point of the pass, you will encounter amazing perspectives of the pretty Lukla valley backdropped by sights of Mt. Cho Oyu, Kongde Peak, Number Himal, and Mt. Kusum Kanguru. Moving by Chutanga 3020m, you will then head to Lukla. This will be your last stop in the Khumbu region on this trip. Enjoy a lovely dinner in the land blessed by the purity of the mountains.
Day 16 : Flight From Lukla– Kathmandu
Location: Kathmandu

Buckle up your seat belt and brace yourself to fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. Within 30 minutes, you will fly over untamed mountain ranges and land in the city of temples. Use up your remaining time of the day to get more of Kathmandu if you have energy left. Keep in mind to buy Made in Nepal products that are manually made with patience and effort for you. Take home souvenirs like- Pashmina products, Lokta crafts, bronze statues, and wooden carvings. as a piece of Nepal. Check all your belongings and pack them as you head back to your home country tomorrow if you have already booked your tickets.
