Tour Overview

Trekking to Everest Base Camp is not just about reaching the top of the world's highest mountain, Mt. Everest. It's a fantastic opportunity for adventure lovers and trekkers to immerse themselves in the awe-inspiring nature, geography, and the unique culture, traditions, and lifestyles of the local Sherpa people. The journey begins in the charming town of Lukla, situated at a high altitude. From there, you follow the path along the narrow valley of the Dudhkoshi River. As you pass through quaint villages like Chaurikharka, Ghat, Phakding, Benkar, and Jorsalle, you'll start experiencing the warm hospitality of the Sherpas and the spiritual ambiance created by prayer walls, prayer wheels, and monasteries. Reaching the vibrant Namche Bazaar, the highest town in the region, is a highlight. Here, you have the chance to stay an extra day for acclimatization and explore the nearby Khumjung village. The views of majestic Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks are breathtaking, and the challenging walks at higher altitudes provide an exciting adventure. Dingboche, the last village before the base camp, situated at 4410 meters, requires a day for acclimatization before proceeding to an altitude of 5000 meters. The trail to the base camp takes you through uphill sections, including Thukla, and you'll spend the night in Lobuche. This prepares you for your ultimate destination: Everest Base Camp and the Kalapathar viewpoint. Gorakshep serves as the ultimate base for your hike to the Base Camp and Kalapathar. As you make your way back to Lukla, the trail descends through Pheriche, also known as the sister village of Dingboche, and eventually joins the initial trail at Orso. Take your time, enjoy the journey, and witness your dreams coming true right before your eyes. Trekking to Everest Base Camp offers an extraordinary blend of natural beauty, cultural immersion, and personal achievement.
