Experience glorious Canada, including breathtaking Niagara Falls and glittering British Columbia, with a journey on Rocky Mountaineer train!
You'll begin at lakeside Toronto, from where you'll visit awe-inspiring Niagara Falls, for the once-in-a-lifetime chance to take a helicopter ride above the tumult. Continue along the famous 'Maple Leaf Trail' to Canada’s romantic capital Ottawa and stylish Montréal, from where an included excursion takes you to historic, charming Québec City. The next day you fly west to Calgary and make the scenic journey to exquisite Banff, capital of the Rockies. Travel alongside the turquoise waters of Lake Louise to historic railroad town of Jasper, via the renowned Icefields Parkway.
At Jasper, you’ll board the famous Rocky Mountaineer train for a scenic two-day journey along the picturesque Yellowhead Route, passing towering Mount Robson and heading through the scenic wonderland of the Monashee and Caribou mountains. Break your journey with an overnight stay in historic Kamloops, then re-board Rocky Mountaineer as you continue through the magnificent Rockies to glittering Vancouver for a two-night stay, a fitting finale to a wonderful adventure.

Day One – Fly To Canada

Fly into Toronto, meet your tour manager and transfer by coach into the city, heading to your hotel for the next three nights.
Relax, and enjoy your first evening in one of North America’s most engaging, cosmopolitan and cultured metropolises.
Day Two – Optional Toronto City Tour
Location: Toronto
This morning, an optional guided tour will introduce Toronto. See the glittering waterfront developments, the sky-piercing CN Tower and colourful, contrasting neighbourhoods like Greektown and Little Italy. Afterwards, indulge in some shopping in the city's ultra-modern malls, and make the most of the city's cosmopolitan dining options or perhaps take in a show - Toronto is Canada's capital of live entertainment.
Day Three – Included Visit To Niagara Falls
Location: Niagara Falls
Today’s excursion will be an unforgettable highlight of your tour, as you travel by coach around the lake to wondrous Niagara Falls. Marvel at the spectacular views, perhaps taking an optional 10-minute helicopter ride above the waters, or enjoying the view over lunch from the vantage point of an overlooking restaurant.
Later, we'll return to Toronto, where you can perhaps spend the evening enjoying its legendary hospitality in one of the many restaurants.
Day Four – Follow The Maple Leaf Trail To Ottawa And Montréal
Location: Montreal, Ottawa
This morning, you'll board the coach and follow the Maple Leaf Trail that leads past handsome Kingston and north to romantic Ottawa. See the Victorian houses and famous Rideau Canal of Canada’s beautiful administrative capital, before continuing to stylish Montréal, where you'll spend the next two nights.
Day Five – Included Visit To Québec City

Today’s excursion takes you to charming, historic Québec City, one of Canada’s oldest settlements, which overlooks the mighty St Lawrence River, its skyline dominated by the monumental Citadelle. Once here, you'll be able to join an optional guided city tour, before you explore the narrow, cobbled alleyways of Basse Ville and its hilltop Haute Ville counterpart, which together form the endlessly enthralling Vieux-Québec.
Day Six – Fly To Calgary And Travel To Banff
Location: Calgary, Banff
Today you'll transfer to Montréal Airport to board the flight west to the oil and cowboy town of Calgary. From here you'll continue through the amazing scenery, travelling by coach up into the heart of the Rockies to exquisite Banff.
Day Seven – Optional Banff Tours

Explore the stunning capital of the Rockies, and its majestic setting, today. Take the opportunity to join exciting optional excursions that include a cable-car ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, a trip to scenic Surprise Corner, a viewpoint overlooking the famous Banff Springs Hotel, and a helicopter flight across the Rockies for a close-up view of the towering peaks.
Day Eight – Travel To Lake Louise And Along The Icefields Parkway

A memorable days awaits as you journey, first, to beautiful Lake Louise, its turquoise waters - frozen for much of the year – set against the awesome backdrop of Victoria Glacier. You'll then travel along the renowned Icefields Parkway to the historic railroad town of Jasper, at the gateway to the scenic Jasper National Park. Keep your eye out for the elk, moose and even bears that call this part of Canada home.
Day Nine – Ride Rocky Mountaineer To Kamloops
Location: Kamloops
This morning, begin your journey on the legendary Rocky Mountaineer, following the path of the North Thompson River past Mount Robson, Pyramid Falls and Yellowhead Pass, and through the scenic wonderland of the Monashee and Caribou mountains. Enjoy breakfast and lunch on board the train as you gaze in awe at the majestic scenery, and arrive in Kamloops to transfer to a comfortable overnight hotel.
Day 10 – Re-Board Rocky Mountaineer And Travel To Vancouver
Location: Vancouver
Re-board the train to continue your spectacular journey to the coast. Highlights will include the mighty Fraser River, the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon, and the stunning coastal ranges that rise up as you near beautiful Vancouver.
Once again, you'll enjoy breakfast and lunch on board, and once you arrive in Vancouver, you'll transfer to your next hotel. Relax, or head out to enjoy your first evening in a city often voted among the best places in the world to live.
Day 11 – At Leisure In Vancouver, With Optional Sightseeing

Join today’s optional tour and get to know delightful Vancouver. Highlights will include restored Gastown, hectic, colourful Chinatown, and the glass and steel wonders of the Burrard Inlet waterfront. You’ll also cross into the leafy suburbs of North Van for the chance to brave the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge.
Day 12 – Optional Visit To Vancouver Island

Spend today exploring Vancouver, or join our final optional excursion and head across the Georgia Strait to beautiful Vancouver Island and charming Victoria. See the vast Parliament Buildings and the grand Empress Hotel in the unashamedly 'British' capital of British Columbia, and visit world-famous Butchart Gardens, a breathtakingly colourful, 50-acre horticultural treasure on the edge of the Pacific.
Day 13 – Fly Back To The Uk
This morning, you're free to do some last-minute shopping and sightseeing in Vancouver, before you head to the airport to board the overnight flight home.
Day 14 – Arrive Home
Early this morning you'll arrive back in the UK.

What's Not Included
Hotel transfer times
The transfer time from Toronto airport to your hotel is approximately 45 minutes, and to Vancouver airport is 45 minutes.
Passports and visas
British citizens require machine-readable passports when travelling to Canada. Visas are not normally required for entry, but for travel from 15th March 2016 visitors to Canada must apply for an eTA online with Canadian Immigration at least 72 hours before departure atwww.canada.ca/eta. The current charge is seven Canadian dollars for British Citizens. British subjects, and anyone who has a criminal record or has ever been arrested, should consult the Canadian Embassy as a visa may be required.

Tipping
Gratuities are a way of life in North America, and it is generally accepted that they form part of a person's earnings. The customary gratuity for a coach driver is $8 per person per day for the driver and $10 for per person per day for the tour manager.
It is normal to tip 15-20 per cent of the bill for a taxi or in a restaurant, and to leave a dollar or so per drink in a bar.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on any coach forming part of your holiday; regular stops will be made though for your comfort en route. The majority of hotels in North America are non-smoking throughout including in all bedrooms. In general smoking outside is acceptable, but do look out for signs prohibiting this close to public entrances or bus stops.
On your flight
All outbound flights depart and arrive on the same day. All return flights leave in the evening and land in the UK the next day. On-board meals will usually include lunch and a snack on outward flights, and dinner and breakfast on flight home. Soft drinks are complimentary, but some airlines will charge for alcoholic drinks.
Luggage allowance
You are permitted to take one suitcase per person on the aircraft, which should not exceed 23kg.
Helicopter flights
Sightseeing flights by helicopter are weight controlled and balanced. Please contact us if you wish to book a helicopter flight and your bodyweight exceeds 250lb. (In such cases, a seat may have to be left empty, and some companies may charge a premium.)
Special requirements
If you have notified us of any special requirements, please check that they have been noted and acknowledged. This is especially important with any dietary needs you may have.
Disabled access
The majority of our tours involve a certain amount of walking, including a short walk from the coach stop to the town, attraction or venue you're visiting. If you are bringing a wheelchair, please let us know at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Itinerary changes
Occasionally, for operational reasons, we may have to change the order of the excursions on your holiday. The final day-by-day itinerary will be confirmed on your Final Travel Documents, which you will receive approximately three weeks prior to your departure.
Changes to your hotels
Should circumstances require, we reserve the right to accommodate you in alternative hotels, of a similar standard, nearby. Full details of your hotels will be sent with your Final Travel Documents.
Hotel rooms
Standard hotel rooms in North America will contain one or two double- or queen-sized beds, and it is not possible to add extra beds to the room. Parties consisting of more than two travellers, but who have only booked one room, will be expected to make use of the two beds provided. If this is a concern, you may wish to consider booking more than one room for your group.
Hotel transfer times
The transfer time from Toronto airport to your hotel is approximately 45 minutes, and to Vancouver airport is 45 minutes.
