Today, you’ll make your own way to the charming thermal spa town of Buxton in the heart of the Peak District, enclosed by the Peak District National Park. Upon arrival at Palace Hotel Buxton set in a stately Victorian countryside house, you’ll meet your tour manager, check-in and get settled.In the evening, you can enjoy a welcome drink in the reception followed by dinner in the elegant restaurant boasting period features.
Day Two – Included visit to Chatsworth House and evening entertainment

After breakfast this morning, you’ll head out on an excursion to visit Chatsworth House, a Grade I-listed property dating back to the 17th century.
Every year, the estate and surrounding grounds are transformed into a joyful Christmas wonderland of extravagant decorations, lavishly festooned with fir trees and twinkling lights during the festive period.
You’ll be able to wander around the 25 rooms that are open to the public, observing the vast assortment of artwork and regal interiors while listening to the story of Chatsworth’s history before exploring the grounds.
Later in the day, the tour will return to the hotel, where you’ll experience an evening of entertainment and dinner.
Day Three – Christmas Eve – Included walking tour of Buxton, visit to Bakewell and optional Midnight Mass

Following breakfast, you’ll set off with your tour manager to nearby Buxton, the highest market town in England, for a walking tour.While strolling around, you’ll be able to view the renowned Georgian and Victorian architecture, manicured gardens, and a handful of independent shops and pretty cafés. You’ll also learn about the healing properties of its famous thermal waters and view the natural baths situated on the site of the original Roman baths.Bakewell, positioned on the Wye River, is next on the itinerary and is best known as the home of the Bakewell pudding. With its medieval bridge, chocolate-box cottages and cosy pubs, this pretty market town promises a delightful visit.The afternoon will be at your leisure, and you can choose to unwind at the hotel, perhaps in the spa or do some exploration on your own.Tonight, you can enjoy a festive three-course dinner, and tea and coffee followed by entertainment.There will be the option to attend Midnight Mass at a local church, and upon return to the hotel, mulled wine and mince pies await.
Day Four – Christmas Day – Day at leisure, traditional lunch, and a light buffet dinner

It’s Christmas Day, and you’ll have a full day at leisure to do as little or as much as you like. Perhaps take advantage of the hotel’s facilities, like the indoor swimming pool and sauna, mosey around the gardens or recline in the lounge.
A traditional Christmas lunch, with all the trimmings, will be served, as well as Christmas cake, tea, and coffee.
To conclude the end of a special day in the British countryside, there will be a light buffet dinner, with tea and coffee, followed by entertainment.
Day Five – Day at leisure or optional Peak District National Park walk, farewell dinner with evening entertainment

Another day will be at your leisure, and if you’re in need of some fresh air, you can join an optional one-hour gentle walk along the picturesque Monsal Trail.You’ll begin in Hassop and venture to Millers Daile, passing by the Headstone Viaduct, Cressbrook Mill, and Hassop Railway Station and following the valley of the Wye River.As it’s your final night, you’ll sit down with your fellow travellers for a farewell three-course dinner with tea, coffee, and evening entertainment.
Day Six – Make your own way home
