icon Day 2 : Pyramids of Giza
Location:

  Pyramids of Giza

Get ready for a memorable day! Today we explore the legendary Pyramids of Giza and the iconic Sphinx at the Giza Plateau. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids are the planet’s oldest tourist attraction! A stop will be made at a government supervised papyrus emporium, and then we travel on to explore the sand-strewn tombs and temples of the ancient necropolis of Saqqara, home to the Zhoser’s Step Pyramid.

icon Day 3 : Cairo
Location:

  Cairo

Meals Included:

Cairo - Aswan. This morning we’ll travel to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, which houses a giant exhibition containing the treasures of King Tutankhamun. Many pieces on show are being displayed for the first time and artefacts have been brought together from across Egypt and the world to this one location. The museum also makes use of new technology including virtual reality.

After our guided tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum we head over to National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to visit the fascinating Royal Mummies' Hall where the mummies of ancient Egyptian kings and queens are on display. Then there's time to relax back at the hotel before we board the night train to Aswan this evening.

Please Note: the Grand Egyptian Museum is scheduled to open in summer 2022, though an official opening date has yet to be released. If travelling prior to the opening of the new facility we'll visit the Egyptian Museum instead.

icon Day 4 : Aswan
Location:

  Aswan

Meals Included:

  Breakfast

After arrival to Aswan and hotel check-in, we enjoy a boat trip to Agilika Island where we’ll discover the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. On return to Aswan we’ll make a stop at a perfume oil emporium. Spend the remainder of the evening at your own leisure - shop in the colourful souqs or simply kick back and relax.

icon Day 5 : Abu Simbel

Aswan - Nile felucca sailing. Optional early morning excursion to the magnificent rock-cut Temples of Abu Simbel, built by mighty King Ramses II. Stops are made en route for swimming and visiting local villages.

  Kom Umbu

Meals Included:

  Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Nile felucca sailing - Kom Ombo. Relax, go for a swim or just chill out in the sun on deck. Let your troubles melt away, as the felucca plies its route. In the afternoon we dock near Kom Ombo and take a motorboat to visit the temple before returning to the felucca for the night.

This has been a trip of a life time and On the Go Tours had made it possible with this tour.

Our tour guide, Momo, is so passionate about his country and his knowledge made our experience extra special.

The tour was just perfect and with the 4 days of relaxation in Hurghada was a welcome relief after touring Egypt.

The sites were amazing and so majestic I cried tears of happiness at a few of the sites.

To have a guide like Momo, we couldn’t have asked for better.

Not only did he care about us, reassuring, organising us so that we would get the best out of our tour.

He helped complete strangers from different ends of the world come together and form great friendships that will continue hereafter.

We cannot thank you enough, On the Go Tours and Momo for the best adventure of mine and my mother in laws life.

We will forever be grateful.

This was an amazing tour! I was travelling in a family group of 3 adults and 3 teens and we all loved it.

There were so many experiences - tombs, temples, sailing down the Nile, markets, delicious food, driving though the desert, along the Nile, through villages and crazy Cairo traffic.

Highlights were the felucca cruise (if you like camping, go for it!), Abu Simbel, Valley of the Kings, and Queen Nefartari's tomb (expensive but worth it!), camel ride at the pyramids, snorkelling in Hurghada, the Egyptian Museum, and the temples at Luxor.

So much history and so many adventures! New Year's Eve on the felucca with the Nubian crew playing drums and everyone dancing was magical.

I recommend staying in Hurghada for 4 nights instead of 2 if at all possible.

It was a wonderful place to relax after the busy days of touring.

Great snorkelling! We were so well taken care of by OTG and our guide Alam.

Alam was incredibly knowledgeable and organized.

He explained everything very well, called us his family and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience, that all our questions were answered and that we all felt safe and secure.

In fact at no time did I feel unsafe, even at night in the streets or market or train platform.

The Egyptian people were very friendly and welcoming, if not a little too eager to sell us their wares, but all part of the cultural experience! I highly recommend this tour! less....

Firsty my Guide - Mohamed Saiid - Momo.

What a wonderful gentle soul.

Mo was a delight.

His enthusiasm, knowlege and passion for all things Egypt is commendable.

Mo's Egyptology was outstanding which he delivered with humour that enabled us to absorb and retain the information better - he had an excellent take on when we were getting information overload and would adapt his commentary to suit.

We had a wonderful group of people but a diverse range of personalities, some with quite strong views of how things should be done, which at times was extremely difficult for Mo to co-ordinate the group but I think he did a wonderful job of accommodating the majority whilst appeasing the minority.

A special delight was Mo sharing life of everyday Egyptians by taking us for coffee and tea in small coffee shops in the shisha aroma filled lanes - a true dleight.

SECONDLY THE TRIP ITSELF - for me - 9 /10 - The tour showed us major Egyptian must do's - the Pyramids, Abu Simbel, Phillae Temple, Luxor, Karnak, Colossi of Memnon and the amazing Valley of the Kings.

We got to swim in the Nile, cruise down it and then ended up at the Red Sea where we could view the coral and fishes through the glass enclosures of the semi-sub and then snorkel amongst the fishes.

Finally we ended our tour with a visit to the Egyptian Museum where we saw the Royal Mummies and of course the highlight - everything Tutankhamun! I found the Egyptian people to be very friendly and accommodating and personally I felt very at ease the entire trip.

To make the tour a 10/10 for me - an extra day in Luxor and Aswan and only 2 days in Hurghada would be the way to go.

Egypt - definitley a bucket list item that you would not regret taking.

Good day All.

I just wanted to type a note of appreciation.

Thank you for making my first solo trip to Egypt so remarkable.

As a single lady embarking on this tour I did not for a second feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to meet amazing people and that is inclusive of all your tour members.

A special note of thanks to Mohamed Alam, his key notes on each monument was insightful, informative and his advice had made each experience enjoyable.

I also believe his quirky sense of humour had put us all at ease.

I will forever treasure the memories of this trip, have already informed my family and friends and wish you all the best! Take care and God bless less....

First of all I would like to let all the readers know that Egypt is a beautiful, safe and spectacular country that will go way beyond your expectations.

.

.

You wiill leave wanting more! The King Ramses tour is a perfect way to see the culture and history of Egypt.

It really takes you throughout the country by train and bus and explore different aspects of Egypt.

Loved how the tour ended with a few days in Hurghada so we could rest and relax before heading home.

From the moment we arrived in Cairo On the Go had a rep waiting and welcoming us at the airport.

I don't think I can express it enough how professional and warm hearted your tour guides are.

We had Momo for most of our tour and Adham on our Nile Cruise.

Both very knowledgeable and friendly guides.

Momo is right in his element with what he does.

.

.

His knowledge and passion for his country is evident in his energy and storytelling with every site we visited and through his detailed answers.

He was always so patient with the questions and always had a very detailed answer.

.

.

some of which he may have had to repeat over and over again.

.

.

But always with a smile.

We couldn't have asked for a better guide.

Each day was filled with laughter and adventure and memories that will be with us for a lifetime.

No matter the situation Momo always went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy and okay from day 1 right until we said our goodbyes at the end of the tour.

I have done several tours now over the years and Momo has set the bar so high with characteristics of what a tour guide should be.

All three of us who traveled together agree that without MOMO our Egypt experience just would have not been the same.

.

.

He called our group "family" and he definitely treated us all that way.

.

.

Actually felt like all 32 people on the tour were family.

.

.

It was hard to say good-bye.

Keep up the wonderful work Momo and know you have truly left us wanting to come back to your beautiful country and we hope you can guide us again one day on a future tour.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Festive King Ramses tour and thought everything was handled so professionally and efficiently.

Alam was an exceptional guide.

From the first briefing to the final transfer to the airport he displayed professionalism, world knowledge and humour.

Specific information about each day of the tour was delivered at perfect times so we always knew what was happening next and didn't have to think too far ahead of the busy schedule.

His study and knowledge of Egypt's ancient sites was incredible.

He did not falter on any question asked including questions on current Egyptian culture and Religions.

His people skills were outstanding and he handled difficult travellers with ease and good humour.

I would like to nominate Alam for the Tour Leader Award and I know most of our group would be in agreement with me on this.

The hotels were nice and as described.

Checking in and out of hotels was quick.

Information about each hotel on arrival was never forgotten.

ie breakfast times.

Alam also always had good recommendations for restaurants and shopping where ever we went.

The drivers were always on time and friendly.

The transport was clean, spacious and comfortable.

I am already recommending this tour to friends and colleagues.
