Hanoi to Hoi An - 8 days

What an amazing tour we got to see so much Vietnam 🥰 within just eight days and the food was incredible. Definitely want to go back.

Tuan was full of information, friendliness, good humour, and fun. He provided wonderful insight and appreciation for the places we visited and Vietnam as a whole. I especially loved our cruise in Halong Bay, including kayaking through the fishing village. The other highlight for me was cycling to Tra Que Village for gardening and cooking. Felt like honest contact with place and people. Thanks for everything! PS. I would love to see Tuan win credit as Guide of Year.

COENG was the tour guide and because he had been in the Vietnam war we found him very very interesting and showed us photos he had . the tour and all the activities were excellent and i can now easily sell Vietnam. i enjoyed all the activities like the boat trip , sleeping on the train the 2 cooking lessons, the canoeing going on the rickshaw rides and scooters . because i stayed 2nights at the beginning of the tour, i stayed in the old quarter 3mins from the lake and it was perfect. the CASA hotel in Hanoi was awful...tired carpets and the position is horrible. none of us liked it on the trip. no where to walk at night to eat . i suggest you move much closer into the old quarter i would also add the train road as part of the trip as half our group didnt know about it and it was a very exciting experience. the night market in Hanoi was fabulous . the hotel in Hoi an was fabulous and our best one onn the trip. i really really loved this whole trip and the aussie and british on our trip were such fun and we all got on well. thank you

Hung was an amazing person and became also a good friend. Very kind and knowledgeable. He kept us informed ALL the time. You knew exactly where you were going and the short term plan ahead. This was great for a bunch of people with all different levels of energies. He has such a great sense of humour and was the glue to a great team. I would choose him anytime and will recommend this tour to all my friends - just because of him. He is truly the best and may he be handsomely rewarded as he totally deserves it. Regards Marinda

Excellent Tour and Hung Do was just amazing, he went above and beyond as our Tour Guide, we will definitely be using On The Go tours for future travel

My travel party and I found the "La Casa" hotel somewhat out of the way as we had stayed in the old area for 2 nights prior to going on the tour. There weren't any/many places eat, and our guide had left quite quickly after our briefing, and we were unsure where to go to eat. Mr Chong didn't seem as knowledgeable as the other group's guide. The Ha long bay leg was excellent and even though the boat was older it was well appointed and my type of boat, the flight from Hanoi to Hue was standard (as they are), but the Hue accommodation was average compared to where we dropped off the other members of the second tour. The bath /shower was poor, and the water from the shower head hit the back wall and couldn't be adjusted. The trip from Hue to Da Nang then to Hoi Ahn was a standard bus trip. Accommodation at Hoi Ahn was really good and our trip to the rice farm was excellent, and I have no other issues only the guide left us on the Thursday which was a surprise but didn't make that much of a difference to the overall trip. Really enjoyed the smaller group size Overall, it was a great trip and thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend it to others. Best part - all of it. Worst part - accommodation in Hue

Fabulous trip. Extremely well organized and planned. Hung (Our guide) really made the trip a gem. His knowledge, humor, and organization was superb. Would recommend him heartily

Great mix of activity & culture, though I would have extended to Ho Chi Min if I had realised this was an option at the time of booking. A few concerns I am picking up with OTG, but not enough to spoil an awesome holiday, shared with a fabulous bunch of new friends. Really pleased with the way OTG managed with some health issues for one of the group, this would reassure me for any future trips.

We enjoyed the small group of 14, which enabled us to get to know one another. The pace and variety of activities on the tour, made it very interesting. However, the overnight spot in Halong Bay with a view of the city lights in the distance and the MANY other boats at the same site, was a let-down, when compared to the same On the Go tour two years ago. The tour guide, Tuan, was a treasure trove of information and went out of his way to make everybody comfortable and contented. He was always friendly and ready to answer all questions in a comprehensive manner. The bus drivers were also to be commended for their professionalism. Thanks for another (our fifth) memorable On the Go tour.
