Tour Overview

The Aegean Sea spanning between Greece and Turkey is home to roughly 1400 islands, of these it could be argued that the Cyclades are amongst the most famous and sought over travel destinations to visit. So named for the circle of islands formed around the sacred island of Delos, the Cyclades consists of over 200 islands, of which only a handful are inhabited. The sunsets across these dark-blue, crystal waters are unforgettable as it appears as though the sun has literally slipped into the sea below. These islands host some fascinating sights and sites where history and mythology are often blended into one.

Visit the Greek version of Pompeii at Akrotiri on Santorini. Destroyed and hidden by the result of a pre-history volcanic eruption, some scholars have attempted to link Akrotiri to the legends of Atlantis. Or fall in love on the Cyclades’ biggest island of Naxos, where a walk through the famous Portara will strengthen your passion for a lifetime, or so superstition denotes. Finally, take a private cruise to the island of Delos. This entire island is considered an archaeological park and embodies the idea of living history. Walk the streets and stroll through the theatre where the ancient Greeks stood thousands of years previous.

There is ample opportunity to relax, explore, swim and of course appreciate the cuisine of these islands of this fantastic tour.
