Tour Overview

Fin whales, humpback whales, sperm whales and dolphins are just some of the wonderful cetaceans that you'll be watching out for on this magical wildlife holiday in the unspoilt islands of the Azores.

Set off with your expert host for three half-day whale watching trips in the waters of three of the islands that make up this North Atlantic archipelago. Spring and early summer are good times for spotting both migrating and resident whales and dolphins. You may even be fortunate to see blue whales in the spring as they make their annual migratory journey northwards.

You'll also visit Pico island's whaling museum and cetaceans observation base, and discover the island of Terceira on a full-day tour. The islands of the Azores are also a Geopark – a nationally protected area which works closely with UNESCO – and recognised as an important area for whale and dolphin watching with some 25 different species passing through or frequenting the waters. If you’ve always longed to see these stately and increasingly rare inhabitants of the deep then join us for a chance to perhaps make that dream come true.
