Day 1: UK > Seoul

Fly to Seoul from a choice of UK airports with selected airlines.



Day 2: Seoul

Welcome to Seoul, South Korea. Upon arrival in Incheon, transfer to your hotel, for a three night stay. Meet your Korean Tour Director and fellow travellers at tonight’s welcome briefing and dinner.

Day 3: Seoul

Visit Changdeokgung Palace, dressed in Hanbok, Korean traditional costume, including a stroll through the Secret Garden. Witness the changing of the Royal Guard at Deoksugung Palace before moving to the Korean Furniture Museum. Tonight enjoy a Korean specialty, Korean BBQ chicken and beer!

Day 4: Seoul > DMZ

Drive to the De-militarised Zone (DMZ). Visit the Dora Observatory, Dorasan Station and Freedom Bridge and go underground to the third infiltration Tunnel. Return to Seoul and shop at Namdaemun Market.

Enrich
Tonight enjoy a private dinner with entertainment at a Hanok, a traditional Korean house design originating from 14th century during the Joseon dynasty.

Day 5: Seoul > Gwangju

Relax in your deluxe class seats on the KTX high-speed train ride to Gwangju. Walk through the Juknokwon bamboo forest before visiting Samjinae village, a designated ‘Slow City’. Try your hand at making Korean traditional sweets before checking into your hotel for the night.

Day 6: Gwangju > Gyeongjue

Drive to Mt. Gayasan National Park and Haeinsa Temple, famous for being the home of the Tripitaka Koreana.

Enrich
At Gayatgo Village, enjoy a hands on experience crafting your own mini Gayageum, a zither like 12 string Korean musical instrument.

Continue onto Gyeongju for a two night stay.

Day 7: Gyeongjue

Begin with a visit to the National Museum. Also view the Cheomseongdae Observatory, Tumuli Park, a collection of royal Silla tombs and Anapji Pond, a harmonious royal garden. Lunch is a hands-on cooking class. Afterwards, visit World Heritage Listed Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto.

Enrich
At the Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju, witness a sublime performance of Seungmu, a Korean dance performed by Buddhist monks.

Day 8: Gyeongju > Busan

Drive to Busan with a stop en route at Tongdosa, the head temple of the Jogye Order.

Freechoice: Visit the Gamcheon Culture Village, or ride the Danubi ‘Train’ around Taejongdae Park. Alternatively, visit Haedong Yonggungsa Temple.

Check into your hotel in Busan for a two night stay.

Day 9: Busan > Jinhae

Admire the views from Busan Tower before moving to Jagalchi Fish Market, then visit BIFF Square and nearby Kukje Market. This afternoon, drive to Jinhae Dream Park with the famous Yeojwacheon Stream. Also visit the NFRDI Environment Eco-Park and Jangboksan Sculpture Park.

Freechoice Dining: Enjoy fine Italian cuisine or sample high quality Korean sirloin BBQ.

Day 10: Busan > Seoul

Travel in your Deluxe Class seats on the KTX high-speed train to Seoul. Spend some free time at the COEX underground shopping mall. Later, check into your hotel before your Korean Bulgogi BBQ feast as your farewell dinner.

Day 11: Seoul > UK

Say farewell and transfer to Incheon airport.
