We journey through the scenic countryside on our optional excursion, to the town of Frascati, located to the south east of Rome. Frascati is known for its villas and also the famous white wines. Whilst here, we include a short visit to a pergolato, where we can sample some of the local produce.

Today you can join our fantastic included excursion to Pompeii, engulfed during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD79, where the inhabitants of this small town were literally frozen in time. Entrance to the site is not included and payable directly on the day. To make the most of your visit, why not join our optional guided walking tour? We see a remarkable excavation site and outdoor museum of the ancient Roman settlement. This will provide an unprecedented opportunity to see how people lived two thousand years ago. Accompany your expert guide around the town, walking along roads with indents from the passing of chariot wheels, and discovering the remains of homes, shops and public baths.
