We spend the day exploring Liege and later, browse the charming Christmas Markets. Belgium’s largest Christmas Market, the Liege Christmas Village, displays the influences of its neighbours, with traditional Germanic goods and fayre, in the very heart of the city. Immerse yourself in the magical and fairy-tale atmosphere of this special time of year. Located around Place Saint-Lambert, the streets of Liege are lined with markets stalls and Walloon and French artisans are ready to show you their delightful products.

We head into the Netherlands today, to the charming town of Valkenburg. Experience the festive excitement of the Christmas market in the Town Cave (Gemeentegrot) - the oldest underground Christmas market in Europe. The ancient galleries are filled with Christmas music and decorated with lights and traditional stalls selling all kinds of festive gifts, creating a truly magical atmosphere. You may also wish to visit the Christmas market in the Velvet Cave (Fluweelengrot - entrance extra approximately €8.50 per person).
