Great trip to a fascinating and very beautiful and friendly country

I had a fantastic trip with Steppe Journeys. The team were professional, helpful, organised and very accommodating. The tour ran very smoothly and everything far exceeded my expectations. The guides in each city were knowledgeable and the transport was seamless. Odil and Bek worked very hard to ensure that everything was perfectly organised and looked after me very well. Absolutely would recommend this trip and tour company to anyone. Fantastic service run by genuinely kind and lovely people.

Steppe travel is basically Odil...he takes care of everything and is extremely meticulous and attentive. I did not meet him at any stage but he was in touch with me constantly. Most importantly when there was a hitch he immediately took care of things and provided me with a solution. I felt that I was being well taken care of and felt very safe throughout. The trip itself was well-organised, maybe Tashkent first day could have been better organised to include more of actual life in Tashkent rather than maybe the museum where we spent too much time, in my opinion. All guides are to know quite proficient English.

Fascinating country with very kind people despite communication limitations. The tour included many places of interest, long journeys and not much ' down time'. Odil, the organiser, was always available by phone or email to clarify anything needed and responded promptly. The guides were very knowledgable and great fun. I have always travelled independently before but am now a convert to small group tours

I enjoyed my holiday very much, my only complaint was the journey to the airport when we arrived we had to run to catch the plane ( not good for a sixty two year old ! ) which left ten minutes later. It was a very tense journey a not a good end to a very memorable time. It could have meant missing the connecting flights and lot of inconvenience and expense. The guides were also good and I would highly recommend it. I n fact I have already recommended it to two people !

From the first contact with Odil at Steppe Journeys to the final flight home we were well looked after and everything ran smoothly. We didn't need to worry about a thing! Our guides in Bukhara and Samarkand were excellent and very knowledgeable giving us about the right amount of information and taking us to unexpected places (including the Novro'z celebrations, which we really enjoyed). Our hotels were comfortable and in good locations (we had no trouble in any of the places we stayed). We would book again and cannot recommend Odil highly enough. He certainly knows how to give customer service at the top level and his attention to detail is faultless.

Just returned from a 8 day tour of Uzbekistan with Steppe Journeys. From being picked up at the airport to returning me back to it for the journey home everything went like clockwork. I was the only one on the tour but my driver's and guides looked after me very well. Guides spoke very good English and were very knowledgeable while driver's were always on time to take me to the different places. Accommodation was good rooms very clean and good breakfast.Would recommend Steppe Journeys to anybody who is considering a holiday to Uzbekistan.

It was a good tour and I enjoyed it very much in a small group. The guides are different in each city but they are well trained and have a lot of knowledge, especially Mr. Sean in Samarkand. The hotels are neat and clean, very comfortable. I recommend Yurt stay even though there is no hot-water shower. Just one point I am disappointed about was the transport. We had the option to drive or train from Samarkand and Bukhara, and chose drive. It was an 8 hour drive (without visiting Shahrisabz on the way) and spent all day in the car on the bumpy road such a long time. If I knew that I would not choose the drive. I suggest to delete the drive option or explain before we chose. Anyway I guarantee you can enjoy Uzbekistan with this travel agency, Steppe Journeys
