Day 2: Pike Place Market… A Feast For The Senses
Location: Seattle, Washington, USA
Accommodation Name: Fairmont Olympic Hotel Seattle
Meals Included: Breakfast

A culinary walking and tasting tour with a local guide immerses you in the flavors, scents, and colors of Pike Place Market; established in 1907, this lively spot is one of the oldest continuously operated farmers markets in the country – and home to the famous "flying fish" of the Pike Place Fish Market. Your afternoon is free.

Day 3: Whale Watching, The San Juan Islands & Victoria
Location: Victoria, Canada
Accommodation Name: The Fairmont Empress
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Drive to Bellingham to board a private charter boat for a cruise through the waters of the San Juan Islands. As you sail through the forested archipelago tucked into a pocket of Puget Sound, take in the uplifting scenery, keep a lookout for bald eagles, and savor a special lunch of regional specialties. Cruise on to the marine areas where orcas live and raise their young for a chance to spot them. Disembark in Victoria, British Columbia, a picturesque island city of 19th-century buildings and a food culture that is rich and discriminating. Your iconic hotel overlooks the city's Inner Harbour; enjoy dinner here this evening.

Day 4: A Day In Victoria & The Royal Bc Museum
Location: Victoria, Canada
Accommodation Name: The Fairmont Empress
Meals Included: Breakfast

A short walk from your hotel brings you to the Royal BC Museum for a guided tour that sheds light on artifacts and specimens of British Columbia's history, both natural and human. Enjoy a free afternoon to spend more time in the museum or explore Victoria as you please. The oldest city in the Pacific Northwest, Victoria has a history rooted in First Nations culture stretching back thousands of years, and British and Asian traditions since the mid-1800s. You'll see these influences in the city's stately architecture, heritage sites, gardens, museums, galleries, and markets. Your Tauck Director will have suggestions for places to visit, according to your interests. The evening is free.

Day 5: The Butchart Gardens & Flightseeing To Coal Harbour
Location: Victoria, Canada
Accommodation Name: Fairmont Hotel Vancouver
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Victoria is known as the "city of gardens," and The Butchart Gardens are its crowning jewel, honored as a National Historic Site of Canada. The gardens offer an answer to this question: what in the world does one do with an exhausted limestone quarry? In the early 20th century, Jennie Butchart, the chemist at her husband's cement company, turned their used-up limestone quarry into a spectacular Sunken Garden. Next, she added the Italian Garden, the Japanese Garden, and the Rose Garden. Take in the splendor of the Butchart landscapes today and have lunch – an Afternoon Tea – at the original family residence, including a sampling of local wines. A floatplane flies you to Vancouver's Coal Harbour for a two-night stay at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, a landmark of timeless elegance in the heart of the city. Enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 6: A Day In Vancouver
Location: Vancouver, Canada
Accommodation Name: Fairmont Hotel Vancouver
Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Lush with farms and vineyards, Vancouver is an epicurean powerhouse in a lovely coastal setting that has captured the attention of gourmands and outdoor enthusiasts around the world. At the Capilano River, a breathtaking adventure offers you a squirrel's-eye view of the rainforest in the treetop canopy along a footbridge network and cliff walk with a view of the valley that only rock climbers used to be able to enjoy! Explore nature closer to the ground at Stanley Park and in the historic Gastown district, a foodie magnet. Following a free afternoon to explore Vancouver as you please, join us this evening for our farewell reception and dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 7: Journey Home

Pacific Northwest Adventure!!

06-Jul-2018

Hands down, no questions asked, the ABSOLUTELY BEST tour/vacation we have ever had. Tauck's treatment and service from start to end, were top notch, first class!! From the fantastic guide, to the hotels, sites and of course, superb food, the trip was wonderful. I really appreciated how Tauck handled the airport transfers, baggage, etc. Victoria, BC - superb sites and beautiful country

Sights, sounds, itinerary fantastic. Tauck director and Edmund were first rate and made all flow smoothly. Wonderful experience. First trip with Tauck, I thought that booking an air flight the day after the tour ended would ensure an extra night. No info from Tauck ahead of time either saying there was a discrepancy. All solved very well. Very hard to choose one:Sea plane views of the majestic scenery, Multnomah Falls, Stanley Park.

This trip was a wonderful combination of beautiful scenery, interesting cities, and absolutely delicious food. The tour director was informative, helpful, and professional. The bus driver went out of his way to see to our safety and comfort. It was a very enjoyable experience! There is so much to rave about, but I think my favorite moments were Butchart Gardens-even in the rain-and the Capilano River experience. The meals were excellent and so memorable. While all the hotels were very nice and well-located, the hotels in Victoria and Vancouver were outstanding.

Educational, fun and comfortable. Pike Place Market in Seattle, and the suspension bridge in Vancouver.

Wonderful scenic and culinary tour, but fewer hosted dinners than most Tauck trips. Great venues and accommodations. Vancouver Island: The floatplanes, the ambiance, the cuisine--a Sablefish dinner was the most memorable.

Beautiful scenery

Loved the trip. Well planned. Very very disappointed in most hotels. They were very convention like. Love the boutique style we have enjoyed on former trips. Tour director was marvelous@ The greenness of the countryside and the gorgeous islands of Vancouver.

We enjoyed the trip except for a few instances. Both my husband and I thought we needed more time in Seattle and Victoria - we would have dropped Portland to do this. Only one night in Victoria was not enough. Our tour guide did an excellent job. Loved taking the float plane from Butchart Gardens to Vancouver - the views were wonderful!

Unique adventure

28-Jul-2015

Fabulous scenery, wonderful food, super interesting experiences! Our director, [Employee Name]' commentary greatly enhanced the trip. Hotels were great except the Westin in Vancouver but did have outstanding breakfasts. The city tours were too long. Needed more time in Butchart Gardens which were breathtaking! Pike Market - unbelievable! Fun trip! Can't name just one. Space needle view and food. Float plane- we saw dolphins from the air. The cidery. Timberline Lodge- fabulous lunch. Would have loved more time there and skipped the waterfall which was a waste of time. Gorgeous scenery everywhere!

Nice trip, we didn't care for Portland at all, Seattle was better although I think Tauck missed it by not taking the tour to chiluly glass museum as part of the tour some of us went on our own, liked the wine tasting, then it was on to Canada Victoria and Vancouver best part of trip. I think drop Portland and add extra time in Canada. Loved the food and sea plane.
