TRIP OF A LIFETIME!

03-Oct-2018

My friend and I decided to book a last minute trip to Nepal in 2013 and turned out to be a great decision because we had an absolutely amazing experience! The main highlight of our trip was the 5-day Ghorepani Poon Hill trek that we did under the expert guidance of Santosh at The Nepal Trekking Company. He organised everything you could think of for us so we didn’t have to worry about anything apart from taking in the amazing views. He was extremely knowledgable about all the surrounding areas, and we learnt a great deal from him. Not just all the nature and environment, but also a lot about life in Nepal. The extra things that Santosh did that he wasn’t obligated to do made such a difference that we really weren’t expecting. He helped us book paragliding in Pokhara and negotiated a better rate for us, and also did the same when we needed to exchange money. Also, when we returned to Kathmandu, he took the time out of his day to come and meet us and introduced us to his wife and beautiful baby daughter and then cooked us a traditional dal baht meal. I could not recommend taking a trip to Nepal enough and look no further than The Nepal Trekking Company to arrange any activities that you’d like to do. We hired a guide but came away with a great friend!

Extraordinary trip with a pecfect team to the ABC - 2020

12-Feb-2020

We are a group of 4 people booked the trip a half of year in advance and we did not even need to pay deposit because of Santosh - fantastic organizer’s flexibility (and he is a quick responser as well incase you have questions about itinerary or want to adjust it). We actually received a lot recommendations before but after a bit searching on TripAd with very good rated of The Nepal Trekking Company, we did choose them and trust me, it was my 2020’s choice. This was our very 1st trekking trip and we had to replay this many times with Puru - my brilliant guide to remind him to face the truth that we are all amateurs lol but it really was not a big deal, Puru did make sure everything would be prepared perfectly for us to get accommodations (tea houses with warmly welcomed), meals (always available on time with hot foods and good tastes despite of limited choices on the mountain), services (help us dealing with tea house host for wifi, hot water, phone charge fee, etc) and he also paid us special attention. I think hiking poles are really important to save your knees when downstair, I got matters with knees on the way back and keep moving toooo slow while everybody was disappearing into thin air, and Puru had amused me by talking about everything all over the world. One of my friends got problem on his leg on the 1st day trek and after failing in persuading him to keep trekking, Puru had managed to send him back to Pokhara hotel smoothly right the day after, with luggage carrying people and jeep car without any additional fee, which we are truly and completely appropriate it. One of my favorite time on this trek is keep moving with incredible team include my partners, Puru, as well as 2 funny porters: Suraj and Krishna. If you find difficultly in breath while road seems to turn roughly, follow Krishna’s steps - that is what I have learnt right on the 1st day. And if you want to trek with laugh out loud for the whole day so do not step far away Suraj - the most energetic guy I ever seen in Nepal, who owns smile brightens like sun and make us laugh like crazy even in stormy or snowy days. Sometimes we talked about the trek when resting on the mountain, and other time when finished day soon in tea house, we gathered talking about each other then things bring me pretty comfortable to trust we can reach the ABC successfully and safely. Actually we did. I would not have wanted anyone else, and would pick this team with Puru, Suraj and Krishna again when I am back to Nepal for another trip (for sure). Other small tips, the hiking poles are MUST-HAVE items as mentioned above, and you will not need to bring too many things when trekking on the mountain though porters can help you carry them, because of the low degree from Himalaya (we had not even changed clothes in 3 days and it truly was not a big deal). Brings CHOCOLATE, drinking enough water, listen to your body, SAFE should be a first top priority than your destination (as Santosh guaranteed me the day he welcomed us at Kathmandu), get closer to know your team, and everything will be alright. Review only written for your references. You should shut the phone down, do exercise, contact Santosh, take bags and enjoy yourself. We did have a great time with unforgettable memories and immediately looking for another trip (maybe to EBC) on the next year 2021 right after flighting to my country. Can’t wait to be back. Thank you so much!! Read les

This was my 1st time of doing trekking; the trip gave me good memories & great experiences! Thank you Santosh & Puru (our tour guides) and the porters for helping us a lot during the trip! It was so tired at the end of the day, but we were so excited on the upcoming days. The landscapes were beautiful & spectacular! 😌

A B C Trek

10-Nov-2019

My daughter and I did the ABC trek in late November of 2019. Our guide was Saran (a fun and lighthearted guy). The ABC trek is the perfect starter trek. Ours was 6 days of trekking with a day or two spent in Pokara for some sightseeing. You do need to be in shape for this trek because there are thousands of steps. I don't think they believe in switchbacks there. Be sure to have hiking poles. Also, keep your gear to a minimum. Ware a set of cloths and bring an extra pair with you. Don't plan on showering. Bring a pair of camp shoes in addition use a good pair of boots. I am 62 and have two knee replacements an am not overweight. I was definitely winded and the trekking poles saved me. It's not a cake walk, but very doable if you’re in half-decent shape. My daughter was 30 and had not problems. Youth has its advantages. All the accommodations, transfers and meals were taken care of. All we needed to do was bring our gear. Saran was our guide. He was great and saw to all of our needs. He made sure we were fed, hydrated and slept comfortably. He watch out for my daughter and I, and kept us always pointed in the right direction. I never had any wants or worries on the entire trip. Upon conclusion of our trek, Saran invited me to join him in a great haircut and shave at his personal barber. That was a great experience in itself. I trust him completely and highly recommend the "The Nepal Trekking Company" for your trekking needs. Their prices are great and the company and staff are really professional! You'll have an incredible experience if you book with them. I would definitely use them for my next trip to Nepal. If I trust them to take care of my daughter, you can be sure I trust them with all my other needs. One other thing, our trip was planned less than 2 months prior to our departure. They were able to pull together everything very quickly due to their excellent contacts and knowledge of the area.

UNFORGETABLE AND AWESOME TIME IN NEPAL WITH SANTOSH- ME AND ALEKSANDRA

04-Apr-2019

I would highly recommend Santosh and the team if you are looking to take a trip to Nepal. He is friendly, knowledgeable and will leave you worry free on your trip. We took a tour in October 2015. On this trip we only did some shorter tours waking up early in the morning to do a short trek to see the Sunrise over the Annapurna Mountains at Nagarkot which was spectacular. We were also taken around all the sights of Kathmandu, which was extremely interesting. And to complete the trip we did an Everest flight which was arranged without any worry from our side. We plan to come back in 2016 to do a longer trek, and we will be sure to contact Santosh to arrange this.
