Day 1 : Arrival To Norway

Welcome to the Kingdom of Norway – a country with the most beautiful fjords on Earth.
Arrival to Oslo. Forests and the beautiful Oslo fjord surround this vibrant city. Upon arrival, transfer on your own to a hotel in the city centre. Rest of the day at leisure - walk along the streets and explore the city of the royal family, and the main Karl Johan’s street, with many shops, bars and cafes. Possibility to book an airport shuttle bus to the city centre (not a hotel).

Day 2 : Discover Oslo On Your Own

Discover the city of Oslo on your own OR you can choose to join to our optional excursion tour for 5 hours on the bus and with a certified local guide. The tour of the city includes the Holmenkollen Ski Jump, guided tour through Vigeland Sculpture Park, entrance to the Fram museum and to the Viking Ship Museum with a local guide. Want to see more? We recommend a 24-hour Oslo pass that will grant you free travel on the public transport in Oslo area and entrance to most of the city’s attractions like Akershus Castle, Oslo City hall, Fram Museum, Kon-Tiki Museum, Munch Museum, National History Museum, Nobel Peace Center and much more.

Day 3 : Oslo To Sognefjord
Location: Balestrand

Today you will make your way to Oslo train station around 07:00- 07:15 a.m. and start journey to discover the beautiful fjords of Norway. As an option, you can book luggage transfer from Oslo to Bergen, so you will not have to carry your items on the train and cruise. Please note that this would mean, that you would travel without your check-in luggage until you arrive to the hotel in Bergen. You will be able to pick-up your luggage at the reception of your hotel in Bergen. Early departure to Myrdal by train. Myrdal station is a mountain railway station and junction, located about 13 km from the village Flåm. Here you will board the famous Flåmsbana - one of the steepest trainlines in the world. The train journey runs through fantastic nature, past the Rallar road, steep mountains, breath-taking waterfalls, through 20 tunnels and offers so many viewpoints that many feel like travelling multiple times between the mountain and the fjord. Arrive to Flåm, where you will have some free time to discover this beautiful village. Your journey continues by a cruise on the Sognefjord - the King of Norway and the longest fjord in Norway. The initial part of the fjord, called Aurlandsfjord, is a 17-kilometer arm of the world’s second longest fjord, the Sognefjord (204 km). It is one of the most picturesque fjords in the world. Timings are subject to availability of train but limited to morning departures, for ex.:

Day 4 : Sognefjord
Location: Balestrand

Day at leisure to explore the region on your own OR you can book a Half Day excursion to Fjærland (1 st June – 15th September only!) Round-trip Balestrand - Fjærland including Bøyabreen, Supphellebreen and a visit to the Norwegian Glacier Museum. We sail in through the beautiful Fjærland fjord with amazing views of the steep mountains, the green fjord itself and vibrant landscape. We arrive at Fjærland where the glacier meets the fjord. Here we wait for a shuttle bus which takes us to the Norwegian Glacier Museum. Enjoy Ivo Caprino's panoramic film about Jostedalen Glacier and the fascinating exhibition. The trip continues by coach to the two glaciers
Supphellebreen and Bøyabreen – before the coach takes us back to Fjærland. The fullday excursion concludes with a boat trip back to Hella/Balestrand. Coach to the glaciers and museum entrance are included in the round-trip fare. We recommend that you book this excursion when you book the tour as we cannot guarantee availability if booked upon arrival in Norway.

Day 5 : Balestrand To Bergen
Location: Oslo

Late afternoon you will embark on the fast boat destined to Bergen – the world heritage city. Bergen is the Gateway to the Fjords of Norway. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, the Bergen region has the ideal combination of nature, culture and exciting urban life all year around. If you your time allows, explore a unique place in Bergen and book a visit to Magic Ice bar- the coolest experience in the city.

Day 6 : Bergen
Location: Oslo

Enjoy the sightseeing of Bergen on your own. Pass through the most emblematic places such as the Hanseatic Bryggen, with the church of Mary, the Hakon fortress and the famous fish market. You can visit the Fløibanen Funicular, which will take you on the top of the Mountain Fløyen, for overall view of the city. If you wish to explore more on your own, we recommend to buy Bergen city card for 24hrs. You can travel for free on Light Rail and buses in Bergen and the region and visit the following attractions for free: Haakon's Hall, Rosenkrantz Tower, St Mary Church, Norwegian Fisheries Museum, Horda Museum, Fantoft Stave Church and get discount in many other attractions, shops, and restaurants.

Today Voyages does not sell flights directly. None of our tours come with flights included. Why? Because we prefer to give full flexibility to our valued customers to select the airlines and the booking platform they prefer. As soon as your flight is booked and confirmed, we invite you to update your flight plan within your Today Voyages booking confirmation page by entering your flight number, departure and arrival times, as well as your Passport information (if needed). None of these fields are mandatory but we highly encourage you to provide as much information as possible. This will allow us to provide you with the excellent service you are looking for.

These services are priced separately and can be added to the cart before completing the booking. What is the difference between Group Vacations and Private Vacations?
If you purchase one of our Group vacation packages, you will be escorted by a professional tour guide and will be traveling with other like-minded travelers you may not know. The group size depends on the tour you select. If you purchase one of our Private vacation packages, you will be traveling only within your group of friends. You may or may not be escorted by a professional tour guide; this depends on the type of private tour you are interested in.

When and how will I receive the travel documents (vouchers)?
If you book one of our Group or Private tours, you will receive your travel documents via email approximately 20 days prior to travel date. If you reserve one of our Vacation Rentals, you will hear back from the property manager via email a few days prior to checking-in. We recommend checking your emails on a regular basis as this is our most reliable method of communication. If you have questions or need additional support, you can always chat with us or email us directly.

What happens if a Group tour does not get confirmed?
It is very simple... you will be offered an alternative departure date or be refunded the full amount you pre-paid. No questions asked!

What happens after I book?
The majority of our tours are confirmed at the time of booking. This means that, after submitting the payment online, you will receive an order confirmation email; make sure to save this email and to note down your confirmation number for any future communication with us. Some tours may be sold on a 'on request' basis. This means that for these tours we reserve the right to check the availability of your spot(s) with the Tour Operator before confirming the tour to you. As soon as you submit the payment online for a 'on request' tour you will receive an email notification that confirms your order request. Within 72 hours, you will receive either a confirmation email or a denial email. Do not worry... we will do everything we can to confirm your tour!
